  • i hope to be out of 240s by next month ...242 today
  • FINALLY!! 236.2 this morning. I was fluctuating A LOT lately, but have kicked it in gear...see you in the 30's!!!
  • Hey all! Not sure if this thread is active or not, but if it is I am new here and would like to keep track of my progress (hopeful progress). Right now I have lost about 7lbs, and am hoping for some big losses next week!!
  • Hi! I've been holding at 249 for a couple of days so I'm officially joining this thread. It has been a long time coming. Maybe I'll only be here for the month of August. We'll see.
  • Hey gagirl1! I'm here too! Lets travel through the 240s together! Good luck!
  • Hey Kittens! I'm glad we made it here together. We have a short weight loss challenge at work starting tomorrow through September 2nd. It's motivation and smack talk mostly but we have a great time.
  • Yay Scottie12! Let's do this!
  • Yay Scottie12 and Gagirl1! Glad to see you both here! I'm so stoked to have folks to travel through the 240s with! Unfortunately this last week was rough.. off plan eating, TOM, getting sick! But I hope to refocus and get back to what I've been doing. Here's hoping you all are going strong! See you soon!
  • Well this isn't going so well. I've gained a couple of pounds but hope to have them off by the start of next week. The 240's may take longer than I wanted. How is everyone else doing?
  • Hi gagirl1! Sorry to hear you are having a rough time. I've just hit a spell of off plan eating myself. Not doing so great this week. Thinking the scale might do bad things at my group this week.

Here's to staying together and making it through the 240s together. Hug.
  • Kittens, we will get there. It may not be as soon as we want, but we know we can do it. My husband's company had a family picnic with lots of food and cotton candy so of course I did poorly there. I feel like I'm back on track now. I'm changing my eating plan slightly to allow myself more carbs, but only in the form of greek yogurt for breakfast. I have decided I would like to lose 5% every two months. I think that is a reasonable amount. If I am eating well and exercising and happen to lose more, that's ok too. We'll see how this plan goes, but I have decided not to beat myself up if I don't get out of the 240's until the end of September. Slow and steady.
  • Hey Scottie and Gagirl1! I feel better just hearing from you all! It has been a hard couple of weeks, but I'm re-focusing and getting back on the diet horse. I feel like I've just been having a BIT more, but somehow that ALWAYS matters. Hovering around the 245-244-243 for weigh in. Looks like I'm going to be here a bit! Hope to see you guys make your trip to the 230s while I'm here!
  • Hey guys! I'm with Scottie on this one. Just trying to hang on to 249. It has been a serious struggle and I can't seem to get motivated to stick with my plan. I'm trying to be back on a stricter low carb plan this week and see if that helps. Also have plans to walk a few days so that can't hurt. At this point I'm just hoping to stay in the 240's without going back up. I have had a good day so far today but the evenings have been my downfall lately. I have some bell pepper strips to snack on while I'm driving home so hopefully that will curb my hunger until I can get dinner. I appreciate the support and understanding from these boards more than anything. So many people can't relate and I know the people here can. Thanks for that! Now, lets get rid of some pounds!
  • Scottie, I like your idea of going ahead and moving on the the new month. We have been doing a mini weight loss challenge at work and none of us are really into it. We have decided to take about a month off from challenges and not start a new one until October. I think we all need some time without the pressure of a deadline.

One of the things that is hindering me now is my house. I need to clean some things out and rearrange so I can move my treadmill to a spot where I'll actually use it. For some reason my husband always takes over any spot I clean out. This is not just recently or related to the treadmill; he's always done it. If I clean out my side of the closet, he starts using it. If I clean out a different closet to use just for my things, he takes that over too. Not sure why he is that way. Maybe because he is the youngest and always had any space he wanted at home because his siblings were all grown before he was 5. Who knows?

So, my plan for the very near future is to continue eating low carb, but I'm also considering calorie counting. I have some meetings at my kids' schools this week after work so I'm not even stressing about planning beyond this week. By the end of the week I'll know more about what I want to do and I'll do some shopping and prepping over the weekend. My goal now is to lose 20 pounds by the end of the year.
