I'm new to 3fc and haven't even got my profile and ticker set up yet (!) but I would really LOVE to join you wonderful 100 clubbers in the August accountability thread. Thank you Rennie for setting it up.

Short story....I'm in my 40's and I reckon I've gained around 10lbs each year of the past 11 years since I had my last baby. I have some health challenges that haven't helped but I'm encouraged by my response to intermittent fasting and I'm ready to commit to some real consistency.

My goals for August are:
~to drink at least 8 x 8 oz glasses of water every day
~to push myself to get more exercise every day
~to lose at least 8 pounds (I'll weigh in weekly)

Hi Sunshinie and to the thread. Glad to have you. Keep looking around the threads you'll find a ton of information and a lot of threads on IF. I'm at the end of my 40's with an 11 year old Great goals Oh and you need 20 post and 20 days on 3FC to get the ticker.

Hi there I am new an would love some accountability buddies!
I am 29 and have been gaining weight steadily since I graduated college. Continued to gain when trying to lose on my own so I finally enrolled in a weight control program through my physician's office. I'm doing a VLCD program very similar to what many people on here refer to as OptiFast.
It's my first week and I am down 5.5lbs but my Aria scale is also acting up which is frustrating and makes me nervous it is not being accurate!

Rennie, thanks for getting us up and ready for August! I've deliberately held off on weighing myself this week to see what the last day of July brings. I'll check back then set up my starting weight and goals for the month.

I reached Onderland on 7/29/2015. I weighed in at 199.8 LBS! I didn't lose much weight in July. So hope to have a better month in August. Good Luck, Everyone! Thanks for starting this challenge love2b150!

My weigh in at home was 203, and a bit later at doc's office 205
But on Monday my weigh in on my scale was 212 and my weigh in at doc was 2014...

So 212/214 to 203/205 ---- At least it means my scale is probably accurate if it was consistently two away. I was paranoid I would get on a different scale today and I wouldn't have lost any weight, my scale was just acting up.

That's 9lbs...first week of VLCD. Do not expect this to continue though! I think also some of it was I was retaining a lot of water as a side effect to some pills I had to take after my wisdom teeth were removed, and finally getting off of them; so while I think I lost some weight because I could not eat, I was also retaining tons of water.

Hi everyone! Thank you love2b150 for the shiny new thread! Today the last day of July I came in at 219.6 lbs. and I totally plan to stick to healthier eating this week, progress, not perfection. I also want to stop playing around with my exercise (I do the Leslie Sansone One Mile Walk videos) and really commit myself to this 4x a week, heck even 3x is acceptable lol because it does so much for me inside and out. I think my weight loss for this month (July) was 2.4 lbs. total, as I began at 222 and I am now 219.6 it has been a struggle, but I am thankful to be ending it in the teens from the 20's.

1. 218.4 (down 1.2 from yesterday *WOOHOO* & my lowest adult weight yet!!)
2. 217.4 (lowest weigh-in yet *woohoo*)
3. 217.8

7. 215.8
8. 216 flat (I didn't get much sleep, but I did exercise on the night of the 7th so hopefully on the morning of the 9th I'll be down?)

18. 216.8 lbs. I'm up .6 not horrible, especially considering how heavy I ate yesterday to the tune of nearly 3,000 calories. Still hoping for 214 or less by the end of this month! <3

28. 215.6 I went 510 calories over (I'm allowed 1,640 but I had 2,150) so I'm happy my 86 lbs down lol.
29. 214.4 (.4 away from goal and Mrs. Jean Nidetch's start weight, she founded Weight Watchers btw)
30. 214.4 maintaining isn't gaining , staying on track today, hoping for a good weigh in tomorrow.
