Food Addiction

  • So I am new here. This is my first day. I am struggling with what I consider a chip addiction. I can eat some form of chip everyday. The problems are that I end up eating a whole bag almost every day. I generally start the day with determination not to eat them and then by the end of the day I am half way through a bag before I even realize it.
Its been really hard trying to curb my cravings for them. My mind will plays tricks on me. I will think back to previous days and not remember I ate them.

My question is: does anyone else have any experiences like this with a food or any helpful suggestions?
  • Welcome to 3fc's tongirl02! You'll find lots of support here and the 100 forum is great. It's still my favorite!

When I started my weight loss I think I was addicted to fast food. Something about the combination of sugar, fat and salt just kept me coming back. What I did was to cut it out cold turkey. It worked great for me but I know it's not the most popular choice. I just wanted to throw the idea out to you to consider.

Lots of people have good luck eating their favorite foods in moderation so that may work for you as well. If you try that, it might be less tempting to just buy a single serving bag each day rather than trying to portion out a serving from a larger bag.

I wish you all the best with your goals!
