There's nothing quite as frustrating as doing everything right and not seeing any results. Been on plan and getting exercise in since monday and have been a steady 198.6 to 198.8 all week.

I know its likely water and weight loss is not linear. That doesnt mitigate me wanting to whine about it a little. :)

At least it did this in the right order. Faster than normal drop until I hit below 200, THEN it stalled out. Two more weeks before I start shaking things up to get moving again

I dropped to 193.8 this week and then TOM came. I am hoping that Monday's weigh in will be a good one.

You know, I hadn't considered TOM as a culprit?

I'm just coming off 6 months on the Depo shot (was due in March and skipped it). The upside of it was I didn't have a period in the last six months. The downside was the large amounts of crazy that came with it.

Seriously, it was an order of magnitude worse than any of the emotional side effects I'd ever had for PMS and it went on for the ENTIRE SIX MONTHS. Mood swings, hysteria, anxiety, speechless rage, crying for no reason, and absolutely no libido (which makes for a very effective birth control but probably not one they want to promote). It was pretty horrific. As sweet as no period was, it wasn't worth continuing that.

But back to the topic. My period hasn't restarted yet since then, and I wonder if this sudden flatline might be related to that. It's been a month exactly since I was due for the shot.

Food for thought.

4/10/15: 206.8
4/17/15: 204.6
Lbs lost this week: (-2.2)

I've been flirting around 206.4/206.8 since 4/10 so I'll use 206.8 as my official weigh-in, and weigh-ins will be on Friday. :)

4/19- 200.5
So close to the 190's, I can't wait!

Up 0.8 to 199.2

I'm pretty impressed to be honest. Saturday wasn't so much 'off the rails' as 'horrific train accident, no survivors' kind of day as far as staying on plan went. A friend was hosting the first BBQ of the year, and it was one of those all day events where we just fire up the bbq when we're hungry and cook up burgers or hot dogs around the meal times. The rest of the time was more grazing away on snacks, not one of which I'd label as 'healthy.' Seriously, the only green thing was the jello.

Hubby and I both felt pretty bloated by the end of it. The food was glorious, but I probably should have brought a salad to at least eat with it. Then to compound my sins, I didn't log a single bite taken that day. I just tossed 'max calories' at my log and left it at that. Yesterday on the other hand went to about 600 calories for the day. Not to make up for the gluttony of Saturday but frankly, neither of us were all that hungry. At all. We had toast for breakfast, a bowl of soup for lunch, and a salad for supper. All small portions.

This morning was back to the usual breakfast, and more importantly, I felt I could face the usual breakfast as I was finally hungry again when I woke up.

This week, guilt factor will probably have me pushing it a bit harder at the gym, but one day does not make or break an eating plan.

Oh, and skipping back a post or two in this thread? It was totally TOM. That started up on Sunday too. So if I wanted to blame shift I'd blame THAT for going off the rails Saturday, but I'd rather own up to the fact that I just wanted to.

Hey all!
I'm still around. :)
TOM has started so I haven't been posting. I get REALLY hungry and bloated around this time so I always gain some.
205.8-ish. Hoping to get right back on track since its ending soon.

Rosepetal 04-21-2015 02:32 PM

I finally did it, I reached my mini goal of getting under 200!:D As of today my weight is 199.8. My next mini goal is to reach 196 so that I will officially be considered overweight instead of obese, can't wait :carrot:

Paulitens 04-21-2015 03:56 PM

I was 199.0 this morning! Woot!

:broc:

My weight in isn't until Monday but I like tracking my ups and downs on a daily basis anyway. So far, I made my first goal of making it out of the 200s, even if it's barely there. :)

Paulitens 04-22-2015 09:35 AM

Update: 196.8 this morning.

I feel awesome, and feel like all these decisions to put down that spoon of mac and cheese while I'm serving my kid's dinner, to not lick the lid of my daughter's chocolate pudding... all these little things are paying off.

:broc: :broc: :broc:

I'm so pumped!

TOM is officially over and I'm back down to 204.6 lbs. :)

And congrats to those that have made it below 200!

TOM struck last night. This morning I was still 196.8. I guess it would be a little lower if I were not in my TOM?
