Curious? Are you all treating Thanksgiving as a reward day? I am thinking that is what I am going to do with a little restriction but part of this is learning how to do this every year without worrying. I came back from Disney and got right back on it so I feel confident in doing the same thing. This month has been a little depressing weight loss wise because of the vacation and I think I was in a stall already.

Morning y'all. Down to 194.0 this morning. Did a lot of food prep yesterday, so I think I set myself up well for this week.

Jenni - It's not Thanksgiving for us here, but my personal philosophy is you need to be able to do well with the weight loss without feeling like you're missing out on something. I think enjoy the day, but practice major portion control.

Hi everyone!
Haven't been around for a while. Weighed last on Friday morning and was down to 148.2, but things have fallen off the rails since then.
My daughter's water broke at 3 AM Friday morning, and of course it was Mom she called to take her to the hospital, and two of her friends came down as well - we were her labour team. This baby was not supposed to come til next month AFTER the parents got here from France!! 27 hours later, she gave birth to a healthy baby boy 7 lbs 7 oz - guess it was good he was almost 4 weeks early!! The mother managed to find a flight and arrived from Paris 12 hours later and seeing the pure joy on her face at holding her beautiful baby made me so proud of my daughter for making this surrogacy journey. Father has to tie up some business ends and will come as soon as he can.

I was at the hospital the whole time, and didn't eat properly, and hardly drank any water, and today I am so bloated I can hardly bend my fingers or ankles. Prepared bought food just does not agree with me. I am sure it is water, but I am just as sure it will go after a few days of proper eating and hydration, so will weigh again in a few days.

It is weird how not enough water makes you bloat up!!

Looks like everyone is losing - Good Job!

Have to run, I will try to find some time this week to catch up on all the posts, but I hope everyone has a great week!

Jude

Rin, Congrats!!!

Jen, I am not focusing on my diet on Thanksgiving. I will NOT go hog wild BUT I feel that part of this journey is learning to lose/maintain while living my life. Part of life is having occasions like this. Not only do I need to learn to enjoy without going overboard I need to learn to see and deal with what that means in terms of a jump in the number on the scales. This is going to be hard during Dec too!

I am at 238.2 this morning (up .6 since yesterday) and I am just hoping to start the new year off at 235 or less. I would LOVE to go into it at 223.2 (half-way) if we are talking about dreams! I think that setting a goal of 228 would be reasonable if it weren't the Holidays. But I just want to take the pressure off during this season. I don't want to be beating myself up every time I turn around.

Jude congratulations to you and your daughter on a healthy birth. I can just picture the mother's reaction; I'm so glad she was able to get a flight out. Don't worry, as soon as you jump back on plan, you'll shed this water bloat.

As for me, I'm down 0.5 to 193.5. I can't believe I barely had any water yesterday though. As a result I'm feeling incredibly dehydrated today and will be chugging away.

You're on a roll Jill - good for you!

I'm up 1.1 to 194.4. It's okay, didn't drink enough water yesterday. I'll flush it out today.

Happy Thanksgiving to you all!

Even those of us who do not celebrate this today can take a moment to be thankful for all the good things in our lives!

I weighed in this morning at 155.2

I also saw an all time low of 153.6 on 11/27 so that made me happy

I don't look at is as a reward day, but one meal, choose the things I REALLY want, in a reasonable portion. Enjoy it, log it and move on.

I had a bit of a number of things, including home made roll, real butter, stuffing and pie. But, in much smaller portions, than in days past, and only one time not numerous times, like I would have done before. After that we went for a walk on the beach with the grand children!
