Mari - Hope you start moving downward soon.
Just my two cents - I have to avoid carbs to lose well (I am sure I am addicted to them). I find I don't get nearly so hungry without them.
Also, are you getting in enough high quality protein? Especially important if you are exercising.
And most important to me - my magic bullet - is drinking lots (and lots) of water. I usually drink about 3-4 litres a day (12-16 cups).
Hope something in here clicks with you and helps. We all have ups and downs and plateaus - hang in there!

Kukkie - Good for you on the challenge - you go!!!

Jill - Glad you enjoyed the Twix!! We all need to enjoy a small treat once in a while and move on.
I too had an encounter with leftover Halloween goodies. It stalled my weight loss - actually had an up, but it came off fast once I was back on plan. The important thing is to not let guilt get us down.
Keep doing the right thing, and you will see the results

Jenni - Glad you are feeling better!!

Today I am at 151.0 - so close to the 140's I can smell them! I have been on midnight shifts (last one tonight) and that always messes with my eating because I come home, sleep, run around, then realize that I have forgotten to eat and drink my water and usually grab something fast.
I just seem so disorganized when I work midnight shifts, but will be able to get back on track tomorrow.
It is funny how if I don't eat enough or regularly it slows down my weight loss.

Have a good day everyone!

Rin I'm sorry I just re-read your post, Happy belated Birthday. It was your day to enjoy those goodies Rin evenings are my struggle time also, and I certainly need to up my water intake. I'm a mail carrier and some route I don't have access to a restroom and don't want to stop. And like Kukkie said once, if you drink it all in the evening, you're either up during the night or you have a gain in the morning, can't win sometimes.

Thanks Jude I'm trying to keep my head on straight. I took the kids to Dollar Tree for snacks to put in their lunches and boy the temptations in that place. But I only bought BBQ pork rinds and sunflower seed kernels for me (patting myself on the back). I can actually smell and almost taste the things that I am craving, but I haven't given in Oh Jude on the halloween candy, get rid of it I had an NSV re: candy ... A co-worker came in with a bag full of chocolate form halloween, I so wanted to look in there and grab some, but I just looked away. He put it in the break room and I avoided that room like it was the plague I think the candy monster is after me, because the attendant at the gas station didn't have change (coins) in the register and gave me a KitKat. I told him no thank you but my sons were like Mommy, we're here LOL ... love this ---> losing the battle doesn't mean we've lost the war Jude I'm with you ... I don't get nearly as hungry without the carbs but I do crave them like crazy right now. It is funny how if we don't eat enough it messes with our weight loss. I use to work 11pm-7am. You eat when you can with those hours and most days just slip away before you need to get some rest and start all over

Jill those little gains drive me nuts also, the great thing is we know they won't last as long as we jump back in with both feet and keep it positive , just as you're doing, Yay You

Beachy, potatoes are a major weakness for me so I truly understand. Yay for you on C25K, I applaud all who do it I have started several times and never completed it. GO You

Thanks akelly and yay for being back on track , it's taken all of my willpower to keep this going this week. It's been really cold here especially early morning. I was shocked to scrape ice off the windows yesterday, it was 31 degrees.

Jenni, sorry about your stomach hope you're feeling 100% soon good advice to Mari, ... body's are strange things

Mari, good for you on the candy Mari, when I use to stall I would calorie cycle. It gets your body to thinking and trying to figure out what's going on. Google it and give it a shot, just a thought Lowering your carbs for a bit will certainly help. Also for me, I have strictly walked during my journey and it has definitely helped with my weight loss. My body didn't really start to tone until I took this job because I never did any toning exercise.

Go Kukkie Go

Mandy, 5:2 is great. There was a thread on here that I was on when I was doing it. Not sure if it's still active but there was lots of good advice on there. Good luck to ya

Well I weighed in today at 156.2 which is the lowest I've been yet. I weighed this on 8/6 and on 9/7. I have NEVER been below that number. Sending : and lots and lots of my way and YOU ALL'S too ... to see great numbers this month before the holiday

225.8 today! Woohoo! When I see the scale move it gets me motivation to stick to my calorie range.

Thank you love2b150! I knew my weight was going to go up or stay the same after the weekend, but it just made me more committed

Can't wait to get below 220! And I can't even fathom getting below 200 right now, but it would feel amazing!

Thanks for the support everyone; that's why I love this group.

I'm slightly up by 0.3 to 196.5. It's okay, I ate dinner late last night and went to sleep shortly after. Not a good plan, but I have a plan in place for today as well. I'm okay with it.

FeraFilia It is awesome you are making it work, and the scale is ALWAYS a roller coaster, no matter what.

Jollyjude Sure those late shift suck, but at least it varies up your routine. Glad you are so close to your goal!

Love2b150 I will try that! I think I am going to get my calories higher for a couple of days, see what happens. Grats on the lowest weight.

Rin Great job!

Jb1975 Grats!

Kukkie84 Just keep going, I am sure those 0.3 will disappear just as fast.

As for me, 214.9 lbs lol ... I went 0.3lbs down. I am glad I moved out of the 215.2 even if it is only by a little. We will see what tomorrow brings, as of today, I am planning to make the most of it.

OK, I'm late but I'm in again this month. I so enjoyed posting with this group last month.

I ate a little more than I'd planned to on the cruise but I did get in lots of walking and stairs. I am waiting until Friday to weigh myself. I was 207 when I left last Wed and I'm hoping to be close to that when I weigh on Friday.

Have a great Wednesday everyone

I'll catch up on personals later but I wanted to report my day yesterday ...
it started off great (other than TOM showing up) then work happened and I had a bit of an interesting morning and decided that the KitKat that I got with my morning coffee that I thought was free the other night was actually on a promotion, nothing is really free huh! silly me but anywho ... that KitKat set off cravings galore ... I didn't eat all day other than two sausage patties for breakfast and then grapes as a snack but definitely made up for it last night with McDonald's, smh. Once again my body surprised me because I had been 156.2 twice before so that was a low I had already seen but this morning was 154.8 LADIES I am overly happy about this number I HAVE NEVER seen 154. Now to keep it going. So now I'm thinking eat right for 5-6 days have a cheat day, then back on the wagon. Like the slow carb diet I was doing before. Ok gotta go, I hope you all have a fantastic day

Good morning ladies,

Rennie - Congrats on your new low weight! You have done an awesome job with your weight loss.

Kukkie - Congrats on your woosh

Beachy - I hope yesterday went well for you.

I'm still feeling bloated from my trip. I really need to do a few days of no carbs and lots of water. Tomorrow I weigh myself to see where I am. I'm sure the scale will be up but I'm hoping not too much

Since I didn't re-start the At Work Weight Watchers program, I really need to get back to counting calories. I know how easy it is to overeat when I'm not tracking. Today I'm going back to tracking calories on Lose It. I so want to see 199 before I go on the second trip in Dec.

I hope everyone has a great Thursday

Jenni

Beachy160 Stay strong! Stress is a pain, I used to binge eat (without even noticing) when studying for a test or writing papers for Uni.

Rennie That's awesome! Keep it up!

So, yesterday I ate like a pig (2000 cal). Like Rennie said, I think I am going to add a cheat day to my week seems to help. So my body doesn't get used to so little calories. I am down to 214.5 lbs! Thank you ALL for your support.
