221.8.

Jessica - 201.0 would have been an amazing result! Oh, my friend, I hope that you are able to get a less crazy-making scale at some point. Cuz I would be having a hard time not losing it if I were you. =)

*grumble* I was back to 231 yesterday... Ate about 1250 calories yesterday (splurged on a cookie) and today the scale is back up to 234. That is SO frustrating. It's not like 1250 is a lot of calories-- but the daily bounce of give or take 3 pounds is SOOOO irritating!

222.8 lbs. Sigh. I've known the hovering was coming all this time. I just need to keep focused on the journey and not the day-to-day scale. Like I keep saying, as long as my tape is getting smaller, does it really matter if the scale stalls?

I bought a measuring tape yesterday-- so thanks for that tip! LOL Only I got frustrated because even though I KNEW I'd gained weight, even with my recent loss, I was UP and inch from my last tracking in MFP which was REALLY discouraging. I'm not giving up-- no way-- but geez I was down in the dumps about that last night. And then a 3 pound GAIN on the scale today was just GRRRR!!!

Here are some things to keep in mind with your inch tracking - when was the last time you taped? How much did you weigh the last time you taped? I'm lucky enough to have access to various records from over the years where I tracked my inches and weights. While - with the exception of my waist - all of my measurements are slightly higher than my lowest inches ever, they are smaller in comparison to what they were the last time I was at this weight. (Muffin top aside.) That accomplishment means more to me than anything right now.

221.4.

All this talk of measuring tapes makes me want to go get one. But my scale obsession is already so distracting. I'm afraid of adopting another one. Hmmm...

I am a restarter. I originally lost 50lbs and in april got back into bad eating and quit exercising. I started a new job, had some stress personally at home and just went back. So here I go again.... I want to make this permanent and realize it is up to me to make it happen. I am going to eat as clean as possible, and just finished to 3-1-2-1 book on clean eating and just filled the fridge bought some new running shoes so here I go. I need to make some better meal planning due to my job but I want to be at onderland before Christmas. Today weighed in at 231.8

Today's high: 221.6 lbs. Today's low? 219.8 lbs. I'm not hopping threads yet, though. As Laurie can attest, I prefer to give big drops a few days to settle before believing they're real.

Get the tape, Laurie! You know you want to and really do think it's a worthwhile obsession to have. If I hadn't I wouldn't be able to beam with pride over the knowledge that I've lost 17.5 inches since June 27th!

Welcome to the thread, Jillybean! You might also be interested in joining the Regainers thread.

I'm at 230 again today, which makes me really happy-- I feel like if I'm trying so hard I deserve those results. LOL But I did just mention on another thread that I feel super confident and at peace with myself which is a new thing. I feel confident that these changes aren't temporary flash in the pan things-- they're real and they're here to stay. I'm truly on my way to being a healthier me!!

220.6.

Fadedbluejeans - Welcome! Hope you see the end of that 23_ soon and are celebrating something in the 22_ range!

Jen - Yay for new scales!

Jillybean - So glad to have you around again!

Jessica - I am so tempted to get a tape measure, but still scared. But look at you! Almost through that elusive 220 barrier. Or maybe you are through. (Your scale would drive me nuts. ;-) ) I may get a tape measure, though I am still afraid at the level of obsessiveness it would create. Am I measuring at the exact same place? How many inches more do I have to lose before I can fit this size? Etc.

I am LOVING my tape measure! I'm still holding strong at 230 (boo) but I have a 2 inch loss at my hips and a 1 inch loss at my waist! Even with my weight not moving a lot, THRILLED with the inches!!!
