  • This is Challenge 2 of our 2014 Goal Year Challenge.
    Challenge 2 will be approximately 6-7 weeks according to when your weigh in day is and will cover Valentines Day until April Fools Day. Everyone is welcome - you don't need to have been a part of the previous challenge to participate.


    Challenge 1: New Years Day to Valentine’s Day (January 1st to February 14th)
    Challenge 2: Valentine’s Day until April Fools Day (February 14th to April 1st)
    Challenge 3: April Fools Day until Mother's Day (April 1st to May 11th)
    Challenge 4: Mother's Day until Independence Day (May 11th to July 4th)
    Challenge 5: Independence Day to Labor Day (July 4th to September 1st)
    Challenge 6: Labor Day to Columbus Day (September 1st to October 13th)
    Challenge 7: Columbus Day until Thanksgiving Day (October 13th to November 27th)
    Challenge 8: Thanksgiving Day to New Years Eve (November 27th to December 31st)

    Weigh in for challenges will be once a week. Copy and paste this format or create your own, edit dates to match your weekly weigh in day. You'll be coming back each week to update your progress (find the entry and click edit). And this thread will be available for us to chat about the challenge, overcome struggles and celebrate successes.

    I will post a new thread for each new challenge as they approach. This means the thread will not get super long by end of the year and anyone can jump in at any point in the year!

  • I broke the challenge into 8 mini goals instead of 6. I felt some of the time frames of 10-12 weeks was way to long of a time period to tackle at once.

  • Hope you don't mind that I'm going to go from Valentine's Day to March 20th. We're going on vacation from March 20th to March 31st and, uh, I don't want my weigh in day to be right after I get back from vacation However, I'm going to push myself to lose more than usual so the goal I have for March 20th is the same goal I would have had for April 1st. Seven pounds may not sound like a ton for this amount of time, but Valentine's Day, my birthday, and my husband's birthday all fall within this time frame, and all those days involve dinner out and cake and stuff!

    I usually weigh in on Sundays, but sometimes that varies.
