Happy Sunday
skinnyki, I hope February is a better month for you I had a big loss in January due to cutting out carbs and sugars, so I know February will be a slower loss month. That's a great mindset to roll with the punches on this journey because every little thing not going in your favor will almost throw you off if you allow it. I have had many set backs in my 4 years on this journey. It's so easy to get discouraged, at any point. Happy 16th birthday to your son I have 16, 15, and 12 yr old boys and 20 and 10 yr old yr old girls. When in April is your birthday? Mine is the 14th
ushotmedown, wow 1458 what a great burn yesterday What all did you do?
akelly, Sam and Frantastic
What paths are the two of you taking on this journey, counting calories, low carbing, a particular diet or your plan? I am a little worried about adding a starchy carbs back in but hopefully if I find that I am not doing well I will be able to drop whatever I tried and pick myself back up.

I jogged/walked a total of 4.6 miles which burnt most of the calories.
I did 15 minutes of yoga, 15 minutes boxing, 20 minutes hula hooping, 10 minutes step aerobics and day 1 level 1 of the 30 day shred. I think that covers most of what I did.
My wii fit board said I had lost 5lbs this morning but I'm skeptical so we will see what tomorrow says

ushotmedown, depending on how you're eating you could have definitely dropped 5lbs. I was told that the first 12-14 pounds is detoxing/water weight so it can be done for sure. Great workout

I'm trying to keep this really simple - I'm calorie-counting because that seems the easiest.
I guess we'll how that works for me at the end of this month!

WahineByTheSea, that's what I did when I first started out also and it does work. I loss 30lbs, liked the way I looked and stopped and it has taken me almost 3 years to get back to that low with the yo-yo dieting ... my next mini goal is 165. You're taller than me but our outcome is the same we'll do this And on the 15lbs GONE

Thanks Love2b150! My birthday is April 6th. Aries rule! One day at a time is how I look at all my gaols now. I remember being in college and I wanted to become a nurse so bad and everyone was pressuring me asking me when was I graduating. I finally gave myself permission to quit looking at the time and just do it! Dont worry about how long it might take just concentrate on the here and now. Now I am going to apply that philosophy to my weight loss.
Great job on your lost for January. ! And thanks for the support and starting this thread.
Day 2 285.6

skinnyki, you are so right at least it's not a gain, keep smilin'
I didn't really eat dinner last night I had some nuts, cheese, grapefruit juice, popcorn and a blood orange and got up to a 1lb gain. I'm sure it was the popcorn because it happens just about everytime I eat it in the evening. Oh well better luck tomorrow

Love2b150 im sure that 2lbs is water weight but I hate that!! It is so discouraging! Im in the same boat. Today I was up abt 2lbs. Im used to it bc I weigh daily. I had to get up early today so I weighed in earlier than normal. But hey it happens also if my sodium intake is up I know I will retain the next day.
Day 4 287.4....I think bc I barely wanted to look I hurried off the scale in disgust!

Hello hello hello!
Some of you know that I posted various times throughout last year swearing that this was it for me and I was ready and committed to getting back to it. But the reality is that staying home for my maternity leave really didn't help anything. I constantly put my son and my husband and housework first and didn't really make much of an effort as I should have to focus on me.
Well, I finally came back to work yesterday. It was hard to leave my little one but also oh so important to focus on me as a woman and as a professional and not just a mom. The best part about this is it will allow me to log on here daily, to come and chat with all of you lovelies and because I bring my food with me, I will be better able to stick to a plan of what I'm eating. So much better than just walking into the kitchen whenever I'm hungry.
So without further ado:
02/03 - 196.5
02/04 - 195.3 (-1.2)

So, I'm checking for the first time 4 days late! Not good I partied way too much every night this past weekend and I'm paying for it on the scale. The silver lining - I did work out every day so far and run at least 2 miles. So, back on track and still have plenty of time to make this month as successful as January was!
skinnyki, good luck this month! Can only move forward, don't look back!!
Wahine, welcome!!! East coasters rock
starbrite, nice job on the loss, especially after the month you had. Keep focusing on what's important Even if that seems to change daily!!
Kukkie, oh my gosh Rennie and I were talking about you last month - just reflecting on the "old crew" and how we missed them. Welcome back, what a great February surprise to see you back and active! Although I know it was tough to see yourself slip, that precious time with your little one can never be replaced so you did the right thing
Rennie, girl I need you to slap me lol! 4 days later and I've bounced back up....ugh. But I had some fun Now I'm back and refocused and going to lose some more!!

skinnyki, it is definitely a sodium gain My son made fried chicken last night and he over seasoned it for sure. I also had 5 fries with ketchup, which is a definite :no-no: I know better I just came off of my church consecration on Sunday so yesterday was a sample day, kind of. I hope today's eats fare better on the scale in the morning
Kukkie, I am so glad to see you I know it's hard to go back to work and leave Peanut and trust me it does not get any easier but we do what we have to do. My Rissa is 10 and I miss her like crazy But I love on her and my big boys when I get in Good on you for taking your lunch I take my lunch and snacks with me also You're got this I'm so happy you're back
huh akelly I need you to slap me ... I am so trying to keep myself in check, before I slip too far back. I have worked to hard to get to the 160's I truly can't allow myself to screw up for food, smh. LOL, we can each other for the last few days and back on track tomorrow and the rest of the week
Sam hope all is well, keep your head up my friend
Ladies I am glad we are here together, we can do this and we will
