Second year at it - results and resolutions

  • Two years! I started changing my life on 9th January 2012. Hello 2014!

    Things that happened in 2013

I lost 17 more pounds (not counting the holiday weight + 2lb)
I ran two 5k races managing to finish in the exact same time 36.06 in both.
I ran regularly about 3 times a week.
I swam and walked a lot.
I finally bought clothes from normal stores.
I bought two dresses. (I had never done that)
I saved money to buy new running shoes.
I ate healthy, good food. (at times too much)
I never gave up despite the slow progress (or the lack of it)
I realized the importance of having a good relationship with my scale.
I found the energy to restart Spanish lessons after 11 years.

Things that will happen in 2014
I will lose as much as I can - preferably reach goal
    I will run a 10K in April.
I am even thinking about a half marathon in October.
I will focus more on strength training.
I will try some form of martial arts.
    I will quit smoking again
I will eat healthy, nutritious and tasty food
I will save more money to visit Spain, Ireland, Istanbul and Crete.
    I will be better dressed.
    I will try to do a pull-up.
I will sit a Spanish exam.

Thanks to all the people here in 3FC for the inspiration!
