I'm starting to think I may not have hit the speed bump I thought I had... cause I went home today for the first time in a while and weighed myself, and I think the scale I've been using at my sister-in-law's weighs heavy.

Morning all!

Last night I got my @ss kicked at the gym! Woooowie am I feeling it today. The scale jumped up after eats and drinks on Fat Tuesday at our favorite Cajun joint! It was a blast, live music, dancing fire lady, free bourbon through a huge ice sculpture! Good Times at Bon Temps

Weighed in at 256.6 today. It's been long enough bouncing around in this decade!

And I'm happy to report that I am safely in the 260's. . . No need to move back to the 270's thread. Heh.

Enjoy the gym. Go, go, go! And funny, I just started yoga this week. It makes my body feel really good. (I noticed "feeling better" almost immediately!)

Woot, woot! It is lovely to see the scale move--but you're right: focusing on inches is even better health-wise and more inspiring.

I'm going to try to focus on my fitness levels and eating habits more than the scale. It's hard to not want to race through the weight loss but I know that I'm better off doing it slowly anyway.
I'm so sorry about your cat. It's so hard to lose a pet. Hang in there and try not to let your sadness derail all your great progress--but also *DO NOT BEAT YOURSELF UP* if you think you fall down. Just get back up! It's very encouraging to me, personally, to see your progress. Be kind to yourself and never ashamed.

Sorry you were sick. Hope you're all better now! And hooray re: 249! I can't wait to get there!

Well it's TOM for me, so just as I was down to 249. . . I'm back up to 251. =( Still feeling pretty under the weather so i haven't been working out at all this week. Hoping to get back to it this weekend. On the bright side, I went to the doctor yesterday after noon and I made sure to weigh myself with all my clothes on before leaving home, (256) and then I went to the doctor and they weighed me there and I got (252). So according to the doctor's scale I'm about 4 lbs lighter than I am on my home scale. Wooohoooo! Which means if I were sans clothing on the doctor's scale I would probably be 248! Still going to go with my home scale though, since that's what I weigh on everyday.

kailpea you are soooo close to saying goodbye to us! very excited for you. TOM is lame, but at least it passes and usually that weirdo water weight does too. A huge reason I want to be under 250? Its closer to 200 than 300 aaaaaaaaaaaaaaand my work has one of those old school doctors scales with the slidey bars that you level out, and you have to move the larger number block first (100, 150, 200, 250) and then slide the individual numbers over and add together to get your weight.. well.. all I've wanted since I started this journey was to not have to flip the first block to 250. It's a little mini goal of mine and now when i go to work its sooo close.

keep on keepin' on everyone!

I can't wait for everyone to move on down!!! So many people are so close. This decade has been torture, but I'm back down to 256.2 and really feeling like I'm in a groove; with eating and my fitness goals. I would LOVE to join everybody in the 240's thread by the end of this month!

Today I have W3D3 of C25K and some weights! AND I treated myself to a Polar heart monitor!!!!!! $103 but worth every penny. I'm taking this go-round seriously. Off to the gym and then healthy grocery time, good luck!

Hello everyone, so I woke up this morning with TOM didn't want to get weighed in, but went anyway because I've been on vacation for two weeks. Not knowing what I was going to see I was down to 249.8! Knowing that usually get about 2 pounds my first day of TOM, I will definitely take it!!

So, I'll be leaving for the 240s thread and I hope to see you all there soon really soon!!!

I just want to take a moment to say, Today I feel terrible I have a cold and I also think TOM is coming.. But, as much as I wanted to Just skip my workout today I pushed through and finished it and I feel great for it! Nobody in my house would understand my excitement for accomplishing this small victory but, I figured you guys might be able to relate It really goes to show if you put your mind to it and not excuses you can work through anything!

So I'm really really excited this weekend! A few months ago, at my 296, my dad offered to take me on a ride in his 1978 Corvette. I'd never been in it so I was thrilled! Got in it, and apparently in 1978 they did NOT think people would get that fat... I couldn't buckle the seatbelt.. I started crying.. my dad told me it was alright and to just hold it like it was buckled and we took off.. but it was NOT a fun trip and it should have been!

Well, he took it out of the garage today to take her on a spin since in Ohio winter you cant drive one around at all.. and I thought.. 42 pounds should be enough to click that damn seatbelt! I offered to go along for the ride and TA-DA !!!! Totally buckled that baby! I have emerged victorious, Corvette! I even had a tiny little bit of extra strap room, where before it was a few inches TOO SHORT! I know this might sound so dumb but I'm so excited I could pass out.

Secondly, I've been debating on whether or not I wanted to get a fitbit flex as a birthday present to myself (bday in april) and I mentioned it to a friend and he ordered it for me! Nobody has ever really bought me anything.. I always tell people not to so this was a total surprise. He told me I was a great motivator and if I thought having one would help me achieve my goals he was all for it. My supportive friends and this community is really helping me along and I'm really very happy to be where I am right now, and happy to see where I can get to!

Does anyone else use fitbit? How do you like it?
