Hey everyone. I have not been in the forum for a while but am really focused and motivated...started at 280 and am down to 272! These 270's have been a challenge and I am just here for some motivation. Good day!

Hi Vivian! Way to go, and congrats! And woohoo, Susie!

Today's weigh-in in these parts, and after a brief flash of 273.9 earlier in the week, today I'm at 274.9.

Yay for the progress, but I was really hoping that 273 would swing around again. This has inspired me to write a poem.

I am a terrible poet, so I would advise any of you with pre-existing heart conditions, weak stomachs, small children in the home, or delicate artistic sensibilities to avert your eyes.

I think that I shall never see
A thing so lovely as a "3"

Nor "2" nor "1" nor even 'naught.
Nor weight a-droppin' like a shot.

Just a few sweet numbers down do play
260's through the live-long day.

But I linger here--Point-9 *again*?
Get it together, Scale, or you're in the bin.

Alas, alack, and woe is me
Now all 'tis glum for lack o' "3".

Hi everyone, if there had been a breaking out of the 290's-300 thread it would have fit me perfectly for the past few months. I am finally breaking into the 280's and I never want to go back! My most recently weight loss journey began in January/2014 where I weighed in at 315.8 lbs, and after discovering my love for roasted seaweed sheets the weight (about 14.2 lbs.) literally melted off me in about a month or so without trying (no calorie counting or exercise). Unfortunately that plateaued lol, and I'm thinking it happened because it stimulated my thyroid w/all of the vitamins, iodine and other minerals.

The rest of my weight loss since then (13.8 lbs. lost, going from 301.6 in mid February to 287.8 on May 19/20) has been due to calorie counting, myfitnesspal and 3fatchicks (I love this site) with little exercise in between. I think exercise has been my biggest challenge, but I really want to get better over the next couple of weeks. I also recently began drinking a mixture of spring water & Apple Cider Vinegar before I go to bed, and I think it helps w/carb digestion.

Welcome!! What should we call you? Cam?

Sounds like you've been working hard!

Also, my sincere compliments to your experimental taste buds!

Hi KTG1981! Cam is fine, it's a part of my real name lol. About the seaweed I wasn't a fan at first (very fishy smelling and tasting and I've been a vegetarian for years) but I made myself eat the first package and I ended up loving it! Now I can easily go through several bags a day (which may not be advisable due to it's high vitamin/mineral content, too much of a good thing).

I'm not going to make my goal of getting out of the 270s this month, but I'm going to view May as a trial run for really knuckling down in June and finally get through this hump of the first 15lbs.

Happy Tuesday, Interwebz!

Official Weigh-In: 274.3.

Motion in the right direction! I've seen 273 and 272 through the last week, so maybe I'll drop for real next Tuesday.

Tomorrow is my Big Scary Doctor's Appointment--meeting with a new endo. I'll be walking in with my lab history, four months of workout records, a month of exhaustive diet tracking, a family health history chart, and a typed list of symptoms. Hopefully that will be enough for her to take me seriously when I say *something's* wrong.

Hey gals, hope to 'belong' in this thread soon, the scale teased me with 289.6 today. I don't consider it real though until I'm either firmly in the 280s OR I see it multiple days in a row. Here's to hoping I 'belong' here by june. For those of you that are still here anyhow... of course I'm sure you're wishing to be in the 260's soon enough.

Welcome! We'll look forward to having you around, and as far as I'm concerned--all progress is good progress, 260s or otherwise!

Another day in the 280's... so I'll keep posting here. Although I'm scared its an anomoly went for a walk later in the evening last night so my glycogen stores might be depleted which means that my body ergo holds onto less water and so it might be a somewhat false weigh in this AM showing 287 on the scales. Not updating ticker yet but if it holds through to monday I will.

285.6 yo, odd number to be honest. I didn't eat much volume-wise yesterday so that might account for the 'drop' certainly not REAL weight loss, I ate plenty of calories.

Todays another day had a salty laden lunch so hopefully I don't retain so much water that I jump back up into the 290's.

The weekend ahead is challenging. Temptation galore, friends wanting me to celebrate a variety of lovely things. I need to find the balance. I really want to maintain or keep losing. I'm "OKAY" with either option. As long as I don't gain back whatever I've lost I'm "good".

Although I'm sure my health care professionals would be FAR more happy with a loss than with a maintain. So for that, I shall strive for a downwards trend...

The last two days I have weighed 289 and 288 respectfully! So it looks like I hit my mini goal of being in the 280's by June. Woohoo! Hope to see you all here for a short little while

274.0 - Hopefully I'll move to the 260's by the middle of the month
