Non-Food Reward ideas
So now that I'm trying to meet mini (more like micro) goals, I'm having trouble thinking of ways to reward myself for these goals that doesn't include food. Now that I'm trying to consciously not eat as a reward do I really realize how much I've done that the last few years. I know the non-food reward will differ depending on interests and life style, but I am open to any ideas. I need an alternative and put down the cookie or cup of ice cream!
I want to thank everyone who contributes to this forum as you all are an inspiration to me and I'm sure many others. It's not easy being open about such a personal journey and the highs and lows are all lesson learned for others.

Shopping trip to the thrift stores!
Sorry, I've been on a kick with that lately. I've bought all sorts of cheap new clothes that would make perfect non-food rewards!

I got a Thomas Sabo charm bracelet for Christmas. Every time I workout, I put £1 in a jar and then treat myself to a new charm when I have enough.

Money is usually tight for my family, so "rewards" don't usually happen.
Here are some ideas for my crafty side:
Yarn (esp some yummy wool), new crochet hooks or some new knitting needles (found a love for bamboo which I never thought I would and would love more), other yarn craft supplies, sewing supplies (cute straight pins, new cutting mat, new rotary blades/knifes, marking pencils, etc).
For my girly side...
nail polish, hair clips, bath things (bubbles, salts, etc), lotions, candles (I'm not into jewelry or makeup too much really).
I like the idea of a trip to the thrift store for clothes. I have also used buying new workout videos in the past (now they are here and I will move into "harder" ones as I go down).

Some of my goal ideas are/were,
~Fitbit flex for 50 pounds! (highly recommend it, I love mine!)
~When clothing gets to loose, replace a few (getting new bras this weekend)
~73 pounds lost, New TATTOO!!
~100 pounds down, More new clothes.
Some other ideas, for every 5 or 10 pounds,
Mani/pedi's
New accessory
For me it would be anything that SPARKLES!!

How about an activity, like a membership to a club/class or a horseback riding lesson?
Other ideas:
- clothing or accessories (jewelry, purses, makeup, etc.)
- spa treatments (massages, facials, mani &/or pedi, etc.)
- hair cut
- new water bottle for the gym
- new piece of technology
- something to commemorate your weight loss (ex. charms for a bracelet, etc.)
- new pieces of decor for your space
- a cultural text (book, movie, music, etc.)
- a night out
- a new activity (ex. rock-climbing)
- new body lotion
- beautiful candles
Hope those help!
Ditto to the thanks offered to everyone! I rely on this website so much for support and keeping myself in check, and I'm deeply grateful for everyone's contributions!

For my mini goals I reward myself with one of the following:
- A new song from iTunes.
- Bubble bath or bath bombs.
- A new workout DVD.
I don't have my major goal sorted out, I'm thinking about a new pair of workout shoes when I get to ONEderland and a bicycle when I get out of the range for obese ... but I don't know if I will be able to afford them at the same time I earn them.
