Look what I did:

I wanted to do this to keep my motivation up. How many times a day do you look in the mirror? It photographs awful though. I got a dry erase marker and gave myself some pep!

The reasons why I want to lose weight:

I felt like giving up the other day and added this:

(the picture it's referring to is when I last gave up I thought there was no change in my body. I still felt fat. But I was starting to look normal at the pinnacle of my giving up.)

I hope that will wipe off!

But seriously, you've come from above my old weight to about where I am now. So you must, like me, be feeling frickin' awesome compared to your old self. It's that feeling that motivates me most. Every single day. What about you? It feels great doesn't it?

It's just a regular dry erase marker. I wish I had different colors though to make it fancy.

I was 298 in 2006. I was maintaining 235-262 for the last few years. Even at 262, I felt better than I did at 298. Which is why it was so easy to just stay at 262. But I honestly don't feel any different or smaller currently. I think I can tell in some family pictures we had just done that my face is smaller but that is it. Not having heartburn though is motivating. But I think if I just keep going, maybe I'll start seeing inches lost soon. And changes in my clothes. It's taken 31 pounds for people to notice my weight loss. So it seems very slow going. Very slow.

It is definitely a marathon and not a sprint. But you are rocking this. People noticing is great. And changes in the face are really important for me because of the mirror! More than I thought it would be. So keep with it. The 220s are super exciting because once they are done the next stop is ONE-derland.

That's a good idea...except I think I will tack some notes up in my closet...I rent so I don't know if marking up the walls (even with dry erase markers) would be a good idea...although it would drive my husband nuts...

Great Motivational Tool!

I love it!!!! Now I am thinking about doing that with my mirror stand that I have in my room. I had a dry erase marker (like 3 by 4 ft, pretty big) where I wrote inspiring stuff/quotes (my fave was "Get that azz moving!", lol) but I let my bro borrow it for his poker nights. Thanks for the idea!! I just may come back and post a picture of it if you don't mind. :D
