Thanks, I don't know if 160 is being unrealistic or not. I looked good at that weight when I was much younger but I didn't look bad at a little higher weight either. I'm almost 47 so I'm not looking for the perfect body, I just want to be healthier so when I get to what's comfortable for me I'm going to try to hang on to it. LOL I just really want to see under 200 lbs first. That's a ways away so I have plenty of time to think about my goal weight.

Hi! I hope you have room for one more. I am climbing back on the WW and 3FC wagon. I was active in the forums in the late 90s and let it fall by the wayside as I stopped watching what I ate. I will turn 40 in 16 months and I want to lose 100+ pounds before that birthday. As I get older my joints are less forgiving. I can be laid up by a day of cleaning the house.

I look forward to getting to know each of you as we get healthier.

Me too! By the time I hit 200 lbs, I'll have lost 96, and I figure I'll have a clearer idea of what my final goal weight is.

Good luck to us all!

Hi, I'm joining you here. I am starting my weightloss journey once more... at my first attempt I had gotten into a nice routine and took myself down to 170lb in 2010. Here I am now 3 years later... I went downhill after I got married and worse during my pregnancy and after. Keep telling myself I'll get back on track and here now I am 4 months away from my little girl turning 2. I don't want her to remember her mama being this big and I want to have the energy to play with her. So... I weighed in on Friday and was 270 lb. I cut out soda on Saturday, and have been eating about 1400 calories a day for 3 days now. I got a 30 minute walk yesterday and going to do the same today, and perhaps get one of my workout videos out.

I can't wait to see under 200 again!

Hi - welcome everyone! It's been a ghost town here for the last week or two...and Erin left me to be with all the skinnier people in the 250's/260's.

I've never been 160 lbs in my adult life! I hung in the 190's in high school and was on the upscale slide until about 2 months ago. This is the first time in my adult life I've seriously tried to lose weight...and oh my god...it is so much harder than I thought it would be!

Onederland will be wonderful...but I have a ways to go...I'm hoping to get there by the beginning of next year.

It's nice meeting you all and look forward to chatting with you.

Welcome, new people! I've been slacking off on my posting lately, but I'll be sure to come by here more! Especially since I've been in the 280s for what feels like hundreds of years. Almost to the 270s though

Last year I lost 30 lbs and got to to 255 from 285. Gained it all back plus 10. As a matter of fact I've started over so much I'm embarrassed. The lowest I had gotten in years was 225 10 years ago and I lost 60 lbs at that time to get there... in between there and now I've lost and gained several times. It felt like a joke to try again but here I am. I'm putting my past failures behind me. I will stay with it this time. These days will be the last time I ever weigh what I do. I believe I can do this. I can and I will!!

That's a great Attitude Only! It's the only thing that gets me through some days. I went on a crash diet like 12 years ago to lose 20 lbs to get into my wedding dress and that is about the extent of my dieting until this.

Hi Rachel - way to go on 282!!!

There are some great threads on here for people of all weights.

Hey everyone... doing alright today. I stayed in my limit for calories and got in two 30 minute walks pushing my toddler in the stroller. Made DH cookies tonight because he is mourning the loss of his eating buddy, but was full and didn't need to eat any.

Erin, I'll be sure to go find your pics!

Thanks, punkrock!

Mayday, you're just totally kicking @$$!

It's been a rainy day, but I feel pretty good because I've been eating well & doing my yoga. I can't believe how much more flexible I already am. If I sit on the floor & stretch my legs straight out in front of me, I can actually grab my toes. I have never been able to do that!

Hey all! I have been a slacker with my posts lately so I apologize. I am having a pretty good week. I am hoping that it is reflected on the scales. I was at play rehearsal the other night and a friend I havent seen in awhile said I was wasting away to nothing! Totally not true but it made me feel pretty good! I am starting to be able to tell in my clothes. Most of them are too big but I am making them work through the summer and early fall (here in TN you can wear shorts till mid to late October)!!

Erin - saw the pics - looking good!

Rachel - that reminds me that I should bust out that yoga DVD I bought over a month ago that's still in the package. I might be able to do some of that with my hand being all wrapped up.

JustB - It's always nice to be complimented! And I could definitely tell from the pics you posted that you've lost weight! Oh - and congrats on the new job (I saw it on another thread)

MayDay - congrats on the exercise and for staying on plan with the cookies - I've only made cupcakes once since I started and that nearly ruined me! I suppose it's probably different when you have kids though.

I've been having a blah sort of week. My hands been killing me all week - it starts throbbing every time my heart rate gets up too much so I haven't been exercising like I should - it's kind of bumming me out. So I've just been extra careful about watching what I eat and no more Saturday morning Starbucks until I can get back into the groove!

Punkrock, what happened to your hand? If you posted about it already, I must have missed it.

I've been having a blah sort of week too Punkrock. Today we are getting rain all day. These grey days make me want to curl up with a cup of coffee.

Leading up to deciding to recommit to losing weight and feeling better, I realized how lazy and withdrawn I had been. So, I am forcing myself to get active and reconnect with people...knowing that as I feel better about myself I will take better care of my body.

I hope you all have a terrific weekend.
