I will go anywhere and do anything I so excited about getting to meet ya'll! I would even go to the "Taste of Chicago" , because ya'll are going to need a way to shut me up
I would go to the taste if that is where everyone wants to go. I was just thinking that it would be too much temptation. Might set off a binge tone for the weekend. For me anyway. And it's very CROUDED. But I shouldn't assume. I'm open for everything. I just hope I can keep up with all of you!!! I know I can keep up with Chris in the mouth department, I'm just worried about you walkers!!
Just wanted to update you on the Marshall Fields personal shopper. They're up for it, and I need to call about three weeks before we're in Chicago. Depending on how many are game for this, they will divide us into smaller groups so we can get better service.
So I'll need to know how many people want to do this, and what day/time. Thanks!
I'm game for the personal shopper idea Sheila and I'm not adverse to trying out "Taste of Chicago". We have a similar thing in Toronto called "Taste of the Danforth" and we walked around all night burning calories and only sampling morsels - it was great fun!
Okay, need some positive thinking here. My usual Dad sitter hasn't returned my two calls. I'm getting worried. I'm going to have to start thinking about finding a new Dad sitter, which can be tough. The one I usually use does pets, too, as well as fix lunch for my Dad and deal with his medical stuff. I have a petsitter who comes in also, but I can't leave my Dad to fend for himself for four days.
No luck yet. I've already booked the (nonrefundable) flight and the room, but what would be worse than losing money would be missing out on all you guys. I'm starting to get a bit panicky.
Sheila - is there a University nearby? Maybe you could put an ad in the University paper or with their Career Center looking for a nursing student (or just a good-hearted college student) that could "daddy" sit for the weekend?
