I wish I saw this back in March. If there is another one going to start, I'll be up for it :) It's great to here the updates. For those who are sad that you haven't made any changes since, I think it shows a lot that you are still around and trying! We'll all reach goal at some point. Keep on going!

Memory/Emotions/Moods from this week: This week has been emotional. You've been the same weight for a long time... since the first of the year, and not a big change from November. The last time you lost weight, this is about where you landed at your lowest weight, before bouncing back upward. Why? Are you destined to be in the 2teens? What a thrill it would be to be stuck in the 190's -- at least that's less than 200! You're trying to get back on track and keep the scale moving down. It helps to have structure in the day. Keep that in mind.
Today you saw photos of that author, Stephanie Meyer online. She's had an amazing weight loss transformation. Such a pretty woman! That could be you. You've already changed so much, but you don't see it. People see you differently now, and you need to see it yourself. Lighten up, already! And, have more fun with fashion, accessories, etc. Did you go through with the haircut?

Something you are struggling with and hope to have overcome by October:
I really hope you've broken through that 200 lb barrier and are safely on the other side. I'm not expecting miracles, but you could easily lose 18 lbs in 6 months. Keep at it! And, I hope you had a great summer wearing sleeveless shirts and dresses. See, weren't all those arm exercises worth it?

Goals to be Completed by October:
I hope you're continuing to work out with TRX and Zumba, and that you reach your goal of doing planks on your hands and toes, instead of elbows and knees. Did you purchase those yoga pants that you wanted - the ones that were much too tight on your thighs, but would probably fit well, now? And, did you take a vacation? A REAL vacation -- no family around, no agenda -- something you planned just for YOU. And, how's that new job? I hope you're enjoying it and your new home. The sky's the limit for you!

I forgot all about this, too! I vaguely remembered posting here, and I'm so glad I did! So many things that I had forgotten I wanted for myself have come to be! Thirty weeks is a LONG time, and I'm still plugging away at this weight loss thing...despite being stuck at 213 all summer. Just recently, the scale has started to move again and I'm six pounds from Onederland. I really think my losses are emotionally tied. This past weekend, I took a trip just for me (one of my goals!) and had the best time! Maybe that's the secret!

I am continuing to work out -- Zumba and TRX, and now Barre classes, too. It's changing the shape of my body and I love it! I can also do the planks on my hands and toes, now -- even hanging from straps in the TRX rack! Amazing. Back in April, I would've never believed I could master those. And I bought a pair of yoga pants a couple of weeks ago. They're just a tad tight, and I think I'll wait another 5 lbs before I wear them out of the house, but they're swell.

I haven't found a new job, but I'm 95% done with getting some ducks in a row before I leave this one. That was an important hurdle to cross. Maybe I'll complete that goal in the next 6 months!

I still have trouble with seeing the change in my appearance. I'm working on it, though. I spend an unGodly amount of time in front of the mirror, now. I try on several outfits before I find one I'm happy with because everything fits differently and my body is constantly changing. I'm even photographing myself to see how I really look. And, no, I didn't cut my hair, but I'm considering leaving it long but adding layers.

This was such a good idea. I'd hug Lunarsongbird if she was here. In all of my time at 3 fat chicks, this one post has helped me see that persistence does pay off, and what we truly want in our hearts can come to be if we just keep trying! :)

I'm late, I'm late- for a very important date! :) Hi Ladies!! I had a crazy busy week this week at work. However- I'm HERE!

Now to find my old post....What did you you write, past me?

Date: 10/12/2013
Weight: Less than 200 Pounds
I tucked the scale away after I hit ONEderland, as my focus became on a healthier lifestyle and not on the scale. I haven't eaten anything artificial in weeks and weeks. It feels free, liberating and right for me. However, this doesn't mean that I have given up on my weight loss- it's simply a by-product.

On Saturday, I started a new program with my chiropractor called the Innate Lifestyle Program, which focuses on eating well, moving well, and thinking well. It addresses every aspect of wellness and my chiropractor is going to serve as a one-on-one health coach and also includes three very crucial supplements (probiotics, vitamin D, and essential fatty oils). We did our first health risk assessment this week (it included a mile walk, push-ups, planking, and squats, along with a pretty extensive survey).

Last Saturday, I also walked my last walk of the Grand Prix series of running. It was AWESOME.

(Sorry for blurry pictures. I have no idea what I'm doing. No filter here!)
I never did run the races like I thought I would, but I discovered that I might not ever run the races, maybe jog occasionally (which I have been doing)...but I learned that I LOVE walking. And I LOVE walking races. I've done at least once race every month since this first post.

I experience amazing things during the races, things that make my heart sing:

I'm having so much fun and having an active lifestyle makes my life so much more rich and exciting.

I see a grandma taking her granddaughter out for her first 5K- and my soul says...Someday, someday that will be you:

I'm over the moon happy with my lifestyle changes. Although the weight probably isn't coming off as fast as it could be- I know for an absolute fact- that weight is NEVER coming back. Not sure how much I've lost, but the pictures look promising:

(March- from the first post and October- this week).

ETA: And I forgot to mention. I did a 10K! A 10K!!! EEEEEEEP!!!

Let's check-in with other goals:
Home: I imagine that a lot of things are going to change in nearly 7 months! You will have combined finances with DH and are probably coming fairly close to being debt free! YAY! The kitchen will be cleaned every night before bed. You'll still be working with fly lady and cleaning the house in zones. And hopefully you had a fairly fruitful garden this year!
Oh my...YES! I have combined finances with DH- and although it was a struggle at first- it is now amazing. I am making HUGE headway with finances.
http://i1296.photobucket.com/albums/...ps64f03bff.jpg
The house is also clean everyday. I take at least 15 minutes in the morning and in the evening to clean. Works like a charm and I feel GREAT about myself.

Heart: Meditation does a soul good! You've also been actively trying to speak DH's love language.
CHECK. I recommend this meditation book. I also take 15ish minutes every morning to plan the day and write out gratitudes.

Health: I think I have made incredible advances in my health. I have also started fertility testing in preparation of starting to TTC in December. I should call and get my results, but I'm feeling really good. My energy levels are high and I'm accomplishing a lot throughout the days.

Dear Past Self,
Thank you so much for all that you have done leading me down this path. Although I am not a subscriber to Runner's World- I did subscribe to Women's Running. ;) I DID also go to the amusement park this summer. It's something I know you wanted me to do:
http://i1296.photobucket.com/albums/...ps9b7ca5f0.jpg
I went with DH and wonderful friends and went on every single ride- and I fit on all of them. I wasn't even nervous about it.
I promise never to forget what you have went through- and we won't go back there....Instead...full steam ahead, pretty lady! Love you BUNCHES.

Garnet- Congrats on your new job! That sounds like an incredible improvement! What a FABULOUS lifestyle change!! You are on a GOOD road:

Also- stunning picture taken in August. LOVE that top! You look radiant.

wannaskipandlaugh- It sounds like you are right on track to meet all your goals by Valentine's Day. Also sounds like you need a new "friend," hm? You deserve it. EXCELLENT progress on weight goals. Fantastic.

Novus- I'm glad we did this too, because I haven't even read what you posted yet...but your pictures. YAWOHZA! You've made changes, lady!! YOU'VE LOST 39 POUNDS SINCE YOUR ORIGINAL POST?! And there is a sad face in your post!? See...You need an outsider (like me...since I've been absent...to tell you...HOLY COW!! YOU HAVE DONE AMAZING!!!!!!) Seriously..Unbelievable. I can totally see what you are going through though- When my scale stopped moving (because that's what it does for me)- I got bummed out and part of the reason I went missing was that being here dragged me down...made me want to put a sad face with my progress. No bueno. You are doing awesome things.

lanabug- Super nice to meet you.

Drivenbyamition- Your username is crazy wonderful.

amandie- It sounds like you have made some wonderfully positive changes in your life in the last 6 months. 10/12... :: swoon :: AMAZING. Can't wait to hear about updates about Vatterott.

Mozzy- You are here today. That is an OUTSTANDING goal. You have not given up. You have not disappeared (like some people. :: points to self :: You have been here to offer up encouragement and also keep focused on your own wellness goals. That is awesome all in itself. YOU ARE AWESOME. And you have always been an inspiration to me.

OH MERILUNG- (I have to warn you...I am really hormonally emotional right now...) but when I opened your progress pictures and got to the bottom...I literally teared up. Your progress is just BEAUTIFUL! Good for you! I know I'm just a random stranger, but I am SO SO DARN PROUD OF YOU. Love, love, love your new hair do. And you quit smoking? INCREDIBLE.

Ophelia- I'm sorry that I wasn't here to support you and lift you up through your struggles, but this time capsule seems to be the perfect opportunity to remind you that you have not failed through your obstacles. Not even a little bit. Look at the difference between those two pictures...just GREAT. You have made fantastic progress. Clean slate for you, my dear...and you are 30 pounds lighter. What would have happened in March...if you GAINED 30 pounds? Puts things in perspective, doesn't it? ;)

AwShucks- You are like the FITNESS GURU now... :: sings ::
Look at you, Fitness Guru...who knew? who knew? We knew...our confidence in you only grew..AsShucks is becoming brand new!
I made you a song. :)

Yeah for you, too, LunarSongBird! I love that you have photographic evidence of all that you're doing in your life, now. How wonderful that you've added regular race walking to your hobbies. And, I love the photo of grandma and the babe. That's a great memory for that family, and will be for you and your future little ones, too.

Anyone reading this... go right now and register your post in the new thread that they started. This has been so encouraging to look back at how I thought 6 months ago and see how far I've come. I promise, it will be worth the soul searching to see what you really want to say to your future self. In fact, I think I'm going to do it again! :)

lunarsongbird 10-14-2013 02:31 PM

OH! And I forgot to mention something! Remember when I was doing the t-tapp challenge? Well- I got first runner up!
