+ my wonderful DIL has rescheduled today's visit in Ottawa to Boxing Day. She and Jim were worried about my having to drive to the city.

+ suddenly I have extra party prep time

+ Richard ploughed my lane yesterday

+ all wrapping is done and gifts delivered last night

- being here with Nancy and Erika. I am so grateful that DH has such a wonderful sister whom I love as my own sister. Grateful that our neice, Erika, has found peace and direction with her life. She struggled after the death of her dad when she was 12 or so. She's such a neat young lady.

- spending time family. I am so grateful for my wonderful son, his accomplishments & direction for his life, and that they move forward with each other.

- we've had good travel weather

- seeing SIL's Christmas decorations.. so pretty and so cheerful.

- I caught up on my sleep last night. I got 13.. yes, 13 hours of sleep. (that's practically unheard of for me!)

- stayed with my foodplan yesterday...yay

- today our new countertops will be installed. I know they will be very pretty.

- we had a huge snow here yesterday. DH was like a kid with a new toy. He used the snowblower for five driveways besides ours. We didn't have any snow last year.. and he never got to use his 'new toy' last year.

- my son is happy and doing well

+ we have about 8" of snow and more is falling but ti's light and easy to shovel

* flu meds- my dd brought it home from school n its makings the rounds
* having the week off to recoop n regroup for the new year
* all the compliments n encouragement to help me continue my journey to a healthier me in 2013

- I was helping DH do the plumbing under the new sink and pulled a muscle in my lower back. Grateful that I know it will feel better in a few days if I do what I know I should do.
