Wow! So many great NSVs!!!! Frances, I remember clicking knees on the stairs ... such a fantastic victory to never hear that awful noise again.

For me, NSVs have been big this week as the weight loss is slow. But my NSV is that there are definite signs that my skin is recovering. I've had this saggy little belly pooch from before I began losing weight and I was starting to stress that it was never going to get better and that I would need surgery when I reached goal. But this week I noticed that there's no fold there anymore ... the mark is still there, and my belly is still big, but now it just sticks out, it doesn't hang down.

The other thing is that I am finally logging my calories each day. I had been counting calories by being really strict with meals (3 x 300 calories) and snacks (3 x 100 calories) but I hadn't gone through the trouble to logging them.

So yay for all of us!!!!

So for the past week, I've been hearing snippets of conversation about "her" and about how much weight "she" has lost. I haven't really thought much about it because I don't really listen to office gossip.

Then after lunch today I go into the break room and my bosses boss and two other bosses, all men, were weighing on the scale and commenting about diets. I get back to my desk and get bombarded with IM's asking what kind of diet I'm on.... I realize I'm "her."

It's just sort of tickled me LOL. I'm not sure why. I guess it's my new pants today. It's the one pair I have that's not baggy. My legs are getting really defined. Part of me wants to be offended that no one just comes out and asks, but eh, I know I'm fat and I know I was fat 34 lbs ago. So I'm just going to stick with being amused and boy does it give incentive. If they think I'm looking good now.... oh boy just wait!

I am moving so much better. This week while exercising, I realized that I can get up off of the floor without pulling up on something.

My weight loss journey has been the furthest thing from my mind lately, but I was so grateful that I could run up and down the steps unloading the vehicle after our shopping trip this weekend. Feels fantastic to not die a little with every trip.

I hosted a baby shower yesterday. On Saturday I was on my feet all day preparing and then again on Sunday. In the past this would have been very difficult and I would have collapsed afterwards. This time, I spent hours after the party, cleaning and getting ready for the week ahead. I think this qualifies as functional fitness.

I walk about 5-6 miles a day six days a week either at home (Leslie Sansone) or when the weather lets me outside. I've been walking since August (started slowly and then built up) Today I ran into another walker that I've waved at a couple of times and she said "You have lost a lot of weight! I watched you during the hot days from the treadmill in my house and thought you were a bit crazy to be out in the heat!" It was nice to get a comment like that from a stranger!

My NSV is that I have noticed that I cannot eat as much. Got a Panini for lunch at work today and usually I would just eat the whole thing because it was so good but today I was just too full. That is such a big deal to me that I can stop my mindless eating because I actually felt full.

I tried on some clothes last night to decide what to wear to the family's Thanksgiving dinner. Most of my clothes were too big. I have always wanted to look my best for family meals especially when people will be there that I only see every year or two. I remember many times when I would have to hunt and hunt to find something that was big enough.

I go for one hour walks most evenings, and there are some hills in there. Yesterday I didn't even notice the hill, and even walking with heavy hiking boots was no longer a problem.

I am so freaking excited this morning!!!! I have never been able to wear boots because of the size of my calves. Not even wide calf boots!! Last year I found a pair and feel in love but sadly, they didn't fit either. I bought them anyway and just scrunched them down to wear them. This morning I pulled them out and. ..... They fit properly!!!!! I am so excited!!!

Around Easter when weight loss was really rolling I purchased 2 pairs of jeans that were on sale for 7 and 5 dollars (40 regular) thinking oh well if I never get into them no big loss but something to reach for.

I couldn't even get them up over my hips lol. I am wearing a pair of them right now at work as I type this.

For the past couple of weeks, have not ordered out and have brought my lunch in to work every single day. Makes a huge difference in the quality of food I intake, as well as in my wallet.
