It took me an hour to dress to go to my mother's for Easter. Why? Because I looked like crap in all my tops, because they were all too big!
Shopping trip yesterday netted me 5 new tops in 2X. And not "I need to lose a few more pounds before these look really good" 2X, but a "Wow, these look awesome" 2X.
These are all great to read! I can't wait until I achieve all of them!
My NSV is that I have been (well was until this moment) sugar free for 5 weeks. Someone brought in a cheesecake that I had managed to resist all day long, until I saw that there was 1/3 of a piece left so I decided to have it, and it was horrible!!!
In the past I probably would have had a slice in the morning, one after lunch, then the 1/3 leftover piece in the afternoon. Today, instead, I thought "my hummus and celery tasted so much better!"
One of my friends called me slim!! We were chatting and he knows I'm working my tail off to lose weight and trying to get pregnant soon. It was such a wonderful conversation and when he was leaving, he said "Talk to you later, Slim!" Made my whole week.....
3 different co-workers in the past week admitted to not recognizing me as I walked down the hall.
I fell off my program lats Thursday and Friday - realized that the comfort foods I used to go to in times of stress - chocolate, peanut butter, pasta didnt taste very good - and got right back on plan Saturday day morning. After 7 months of Ideal Protein, I was psychologically feeling deprived - but in reality my body has everything it needs.
I paid the price by going up a few pounds, but that has now come off and I am down a pound.
Well not sure if its a NSV but it definitely makes me happy excited and extremely flattered! The Healthy Eating Class that i attended last summer is starting back up next month and ive been asked to teach it! I think its a victory of sorts right?!

Congrats! They must see that you're living what they want taught.
My NSV this week was having one of our anesthesiologists that I haven't seen in a while comment on how he can tell I've lost weight. He then proceeded to ask me how I'm doing it and talk about his struggle with weight/eating right. It's just nice that someone noticed outside of my family!
I am wearing size 18 pants today. They are a tad tight around the middle, but I don't care. They are on, buttoned, zipped and I can sit down and still breathe. I honestly cannot remember the last time I was in a size 18.
