I can finally say I've lost over 150 lbs!

:carrot:

I started this journey on 8/13/2008 - almost exactly 4 years ago. To the best of my recollection (can't find my journals since I moved) I lost 20 lbs the first 2 weeks, 60 lbs the first 3 months, and 99 lbs by the 6 month mark. Then the weight loss slowed dramatically on its own throughout late 2009, and by early 2010 I hit my lowest point since college - around 225, size 16.

I maintained that for a couple months, then began yoyoing between 225-275 (size 16 - 20) until mid 2011. I wish I had been able to continue losing but I take great pride in the fact that I never got back above the 275 lb mark - which I guess is a form of maintaining.

In summer 2011 I crash dieted from 275 back down to around 225 - size 20 back down to 16 - and I've stayed around 225 for a year now.

Finally a couple weeks ago something clicked and I started losing again. I guess I finally put ALL the different pieces together that have each worked a little bit, separately, and now everything's grooving along. About 2 weeks ago I was hovering around 225 and this morning I stepped on the scale to find it at 218. Definitely a red-letter day!!

I also finally took measurements, and surprisingly I seem to have gone from an hourglass to a pear! My bust and hip measurements have always been within an inch or two of one another with my waist 6-10 inches below that. Well, today, I'm 41 1/2 36 45 1/2. How'd that happen?? Where are my boobs going (and why doesn't my tummy want to go there too??? LOL)

Anyway, I know I haven't been posting a lot lately but I have been following a lot of threads as a lurker - and I wanted to share my joy. :)

That is just awesome. I am a firm believer that this journey is often a very windy road and that many of us will not run straight to our goals, but we will get there eventually!!!
