I am having a hard time thinking about being thankful, but I know I have things to say and the best time to think of them is when I feel like this - to remind myself they way I feel right now will not always be the way I feel. Here are all of the things I am, I strive to be and am thankful for:

I am Happy
I am Healthy
I am Prosperous
I am working towards being healtier and leaner
I have a great family - they live far from me and I miss them like mad
I have great friends - they live far from me too, but I love them all
I have a job that pays well
I am becoming a runner
I am a swimmer
I will be a hiker
I will be a trail rider
I will be a mother
I will be a wife
I will be a self-employed consultant
I will be a friend in a city where I know no one

Hi Sept12 - so glad you posted.

- excited about our adventure.

- Five year old neighbor, Adam, came over to show me his football uniform. Too cute!!!

- weather should be milder

- grass is greening up again

- friends, family, YOU ALL, fb, internet, cell, music

- many folks here are finding a new grasp on sane living with food. It's wonderful.

+ fall strawberries from the Farm - expensive but delicious

+ Donna really spiffed up the house yesterday - I am so lucky to be able to afford a cleaning person

+ taking the train to Montreal this weekend to see "Wicked" with my cousin

+ another load of tomatoes got picked yesterday

+ nice visit with Toni yesterday - such a nice person but so very frail

+ looking forward to an afternoon of baking - rum cake and cheesecake for the Fish Fry

* that the weather was amazing for my sister's wedding
* that today I don't have any big responsibilities
* that today I get to start over (sister's wedding and a few days off around it has really set me back but at least I have the the health and ability to restart)

+ "Wicked" was fabulous and worth every $$$

+ good memories while driving around Montreal and Westmount with Cathie

+ had good discussion with C. re getting her 22 year old son to stand on his own two feet

+ going to the Mill shortly with cheesecakaes and rum cake - they are needed so it was worth the Friday effort

+ rain earlier but clearing now in time for the Fish Fry

awesome thread! i find i have to remind myself a good bit of how lucky i really am!
* being able to afford our new lifestyle change!
* having everything we NEED instead of everything we WANT!
* having a healthy family, roof over our heads, vehicles we own that run, bills r paid (barely but paid none the less).
* the inventor of prozac (helps me b me n not stark raving nuts).

* That I live in a place where I don't have to worry about my freedom
* That I have a warm bed (I did not want to get out of today)

-that my husband brought home dinner tonight
-that I biked 8 miles with my son this morning
-that I finally hauled out my old coffee maker at the beginning of the summer and have been making coffee as soon as I hit the kitchen in the morning instead of having to get dressed, hop in my car, wait in line, and buy an overpriced cup at the coffee shop.
-that we have what we need
-that I am still motivated to lose the weight I need to.

Thankful to have paid off our second mortgage. Thankful to have friends that want to workout with me!

oday I'm rateful I haven't cheated today despite day long cravings. Now I know for sure that the herbal tea I drink really does stave off cravings, since I ran out last night. I won't do that again.

+ coped well with a horrible day yesterday - some things are out of my control

+ brilliant stars early this morning as I sat on the back deck waiting for sunrise

+ Disney's haircut went well yesterday - Susie is a kind and loving groomer

+ Anna cannot have a bypass but they are hoping to control the condition with medication

+ managed to get my financials done for the Board meeting despite the horrorshow day

+ nothing on the schedule today except what is planned by me!

+ the hot water heater seems to have healed itself

+ only need to sew on one label and I'll have two quilts ready to deliver

+ I am very lucky to live in a beautiful place with good friends and minimal financial and health worries
