No matter what is happening in our lives... good things or not so good things - there are always things for which we can be grateful. Knowing this helps put life in perspective. It feels so good to acknowlege gratitudes. And - studies show that doing this make you feel good. :)

- a sane food day yesterday

- a wonderful visit with former neighbors!!! It's like they still lived two doors down.

- my sister is able to send back the hospital bed. I didn't know... she sent it back four weeks ago.

- we are making plans to go to Cape Cod.

- Verizon replaced my cell phone for free...yay.

- got Mom out for a bit yesterday

- my bag of frozen peas and my heating pad

- my little neighbors were at the lake and recognized the heron and said, "Hey that's Beverly's favorite bird." I am tickled.

- DS posts cute pictures of Grandchildren on FB. It's the reason I first signed up. What a blessing to be able to see some of the day to day things in their lives.

I am grateful today That I was able tocomplete meditation today in peace with no interuptions. Just makes the day go better.

Today I am grateful for the cartoon network my GS is parked in front of. I'm grateful to have this forum to sit and relax and brag about my 3 pd weightloss this week. Yeal Me!

Beverlyjoy, I have been away on a holiday at Rehoboth Beach. No internet or telephones! Sorry - guess I should have let you folks know.

Today I am grateful for

+ a very relaxing week with no responsibilities

+ very, very fresh seafood

+ a gentle rain when I was away

+ my initial crop of tomatoes with more to come

+ feeling comfy in t-shirt dresses in this humidity

+ my dogs - so happy to see me when I picked them up at the kennel this afternoon

+ making it home and getting the car unpacked before the current storm hit

Hi Ruth.. so glad you could get away and have fun. I suppose it's not always the best thing to announce online you are going away. (even though this is secure/anon... ya just never know.) Just know I was hoping you were having fun and doing fine.

- nice weekend with the family in. I didn't overeat. It's a miracle and a blessing. So grateful for the willingness

* my children are healthy and happy
* health insurance.
* my mother, who is on vacation to go see her sisters across the country
* the many years I had with my father long after his life expectancy was up.
* my husband, who is my rock.
* my garden, which i literally my favorite thing right now.
* the internet.

And mostly, right now, I'm grateful this stomach virus seems to have let go of me!

+ a very good night of sleep - the hotel was noisy Saturday night

+ a manageable pile of mail

+ a glorious patch of yellow daisies in my front flower bed

+ the garlic harvest happened when I was away :cb:

+ am finally mastering the art of BBQ cooking without needing a sex change!

+ officially "on holiday" this month
