Good morning. I am up half a pound. I upped my calories to 1500 yesterday. We will see if this helps with my post workout fatigue. I have Zumba and the a bit on the treadmill today. I am not sure if I want to weight train on Saturday. I am already nervous about the weight room. Going when there will be more people might not be a good idea.

Well I weighed myself an hour later. I had gotten up early because DH is going away this weekend. Before eating and after the bathroom again I weight 1.5lbs less. WTF. I guess I need a new scale. I rezeroed it several times and it was 247/246/246.5. So I kept the 246.5. I don't think I lost 1.5lbs in urine.

Carter: It's all good. I knew why it came out the way it did. Way to go for staying on plan!

So I'm *still* at 293.4. That's just a little odd for me. I'm always bouncing up and down, even if it's just by 0.1. I don't think I've ever seen the exact same weight two days in a row before, never mind three.

*shrug* I read an article yesterday about most low carbers stalling after the first two weeks 'cos the body basically panics from the lost water and starts retaining to try to normalize things again, but you can still be losing fat during this 'stall'. I'm hoping that's what this is.

Has that happened to anyone else here who does low carb? Also, yes I know I'm impatient, lol.

Devnet we are all impatient, well I am. Just keep drinking your water and eating on plan. I am not doing low carbs per se but I am eating higher protein and less packaged foods. I am sure my carbs are less than what I was eating. I kept the same weight the 2nd week for several days the bam, I lost 3lbs.

Diana have a great weekend too.

I guess my scale was right I am 245 today. 20lbs lost in 3 wks not bad. I am sure it won't continue this fast. The first bit was water weight.

DH is away this weekend so it's just us girls at home. I have a 5 and 8 year old. Not sure what our plan is. Might be exciting like bra shoppingM Sometimes taking my girls shopping is like being in the 5th level of ****.

My fitbit arrives today. I am so excited. I was not expecting to get a heart monitor and a fitbit. I was telling DH about my calories burned at Zumba and he asked If I wore it all day would I know what I burned during the day. I told him no but the fitbit does that. Right away he told me to buy one. Since I am counting calories he said it would be better to know calories in and out. I am thankful he is being supportive.

afternoon, ladies!
i didn't weigh in today because i ate terribly yesterday.

but this morning i did get up at 7am to go to cross country conditioning.
we did a mile warm up, then a mile "speed run" (not full-out sprinting, but just enough to keep your heart rate up), and then a two mile time trial, ending with a one mile cool-down. that's five miles all together.

the two mile time trial was difficult for me today since i got very little sleep last night (i worked until 1am). my time for completing the two mile was 19:14, which beats my own personal record of 24 minutes.

also, right before finishing i went on a gagging spree. my body felt like throwing up but i had a light breakfast in the morning so i couldn't. it realy sucked because i wanted to finish the race strong with a sprint but i couldn't with my body gagging! oh well, i definitely pushed myself and that's all that matters.

Lishar: Thank you for the support. Congrats on your great loss so far!

Okay, so...I'm really getting confused here. I weighed myself as soon as I got up and went to the washroom this morning. The scale said 293.2. I was happy it had finally moved a little...I went away for a couple minutes, and just to double check, I weighed myself again...apparently in two minutes, I gained over a pound?? Now it said 294.4 pounds. Then I went away for ten minutes and tried again (because now I was seriously confused), and it said 294.0. At this point I still had not drank or ate anything. All I can say is...buh?

I had Pizza tonight and it was so good. Since I upped my calories I have more wiggle room. I made my kids a cheese pizza and decided what the heck have some too. I had 1/4 of the pizza for 350 calories. With my salad I am stuffed.

ciao great job on your running. Amazing. Not fun that you pushed yourself so hard you felt like throwing up.

Devnet I had the same problem this week too.

I haven't weighed all week honestly. I've eaten way too much and haven't exercised because of my ankle being messed up. I fully expected a gain today. But no...I lost 2 pounds. Down to 257. I'm shocked honestly. But I'll take it.

Good morning folks!

Well I have good news to report - I've now been 6 full days completely on plan without any overeating or binging. And, I weighed in this morning at 155, matching my best low, and making my stats at the left there not a lie for only the second time since March.

Still contemplating my transition to maintenance, but I would much rather maintain under 155 than under 160, so I'm glad to be here, and ready to try to string together another week or two on plan.

Good luck and good strength to everyone today

Down to 244 today. Increasing my calories seems to be helping. Not a big increase but love the wiggle room.

Carter great job.

Diana good morning.

Ciao enjoy your day.

Heathymewannabe- congrats nice suprise.

carter, are you saying that staying on plan helps you lose weight? I may have to give that a try. I let the stress at work get to me last week and just ate terribly. I've done slightly better this weekend but am a bit disappointed in my efforts. But congrats to you - good work!

I did something a little different today for exercise. Instead of going to the park and walking in circles, I walked the 1/2 mile or so to the small downtown core of Albany. Albany is set on a hill, so I walked up to the capitol building and then down to the old railroad station and back up again. There was a surprising amount of traffic (vehicular and pedestrian) and I got tired of waiting at stop lights to cross the street, so I was happy to find a great set of stairs by City Hall. I ran up and down them half a dozen times, getting quite winded by the end. And then I had to get up the short but very steep hill to my house, so it was a good workout.

Here's wishing me and everyone else a good week this week!
