I don't know if I qualify for the 100-lb club, as I've poked around and not yet really figured out what the necessary qualifications are, but I'm slowly coming to the realization that I'm a challenge junky. That being said, I would very much like to participate.

Awshucks. You can too. Thanks for the kind remarks about my garden. I garden in West Monroe, You are right the plants are my Babies. I remember planting everyone, So many are gifts and garden club passalongs that stories go with them. And what troopers moving from garden to garden 3 times. I strive to be a trooper like them and just keep growing emtionally watching this weight " melt" away.
FIL seems to be much better. A lot of his tests came back borderline, but he seems to be retaining fluids since they added another diuretic but its summer so everyone is pushing fluids so no one gets dehydrated. We'll have to wait for the rest of the tests.
Speaking of retaining fluids I'm down 1.6lbs overnight!
Hi Ginger! Keep up the good work! Lovely, cool fall days are coming when you can spend long hours in your beloved garden.
Penguin, I love your quotations, especially "The beauty of every exercise is that it does come to an end...eventually!" ~ Miranda Esmonde-White
I've just started doing Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred DVD, and the best thing about it is that it's over in 20 minutes! There are 3 sets of repetitions, and if I can ever get past the first one, I feel like I'm on the downhill run -- There's only one more set after the second one! ha! Funny how your mind can play tricks on you.
The first day was really hard, and I hurt like heck for the next two days, but it's getting better. I've been telling myself for weeks, "Exercise is only painful for a little while, then you'll get stronger." The fear of the pain kept me from starting for SO long, but, as I knew it would, it gets better every day.
Keep your eyes on the PUMPKIN, girls! We'll be rockin' that flannel come September!
FIL got the rest of the test results. He has congestive heart failure. They are putting him on another diuretic and something else, but we get the feeling that there's not much they can do, especially considering his after-stroke condition. He is home from the hospital at least. More news after we've had a chance to talk to MIL again.
My parents took a short trip up to St Louis over the weekend, they came back to find the new downstairs AC has stopped working while they were gone. So they are trying to get the company to come fix it SOON!
Then my Sis emailed Dad a picture of their backyard. A sewer pipe broke and they had to have it fixed, incliding the yard dug up etc. $6,000! Ack!
Other than the above we had a nice weekend just hanging out with each other.
