Default Saw my ex-husband yesterday (kind of off topic)

So my husband and I went to drop some stuff at my ex husband's place yesterday. I wouldn't have worried about it, but a few of the items were things that were his father's, so I didn't want to throw them out since he doesn't have much to remember him by.
It was very odd. He and his friend are roommates, I haven't seen the ex in about 5 years, and the friend in about 6. They both said I looked good (the friend is a little weird and not free with compliments).
I was shocked when I saw the ex though, he's always been a big guy. He had weight loss surgery in 2006, and he's bigger than he's ever been. I knew he wasn't well through mutual friend, but seeing him was shocking.
I wish I could help him, but he needs to help himself.
Just needed to get that off my chest.

Maybe seeing you and seeing what you have been able to do will be the push he needs to do sometning about HIS weight.

The compliments must have been nice, but I'm sorry your ex husband isn't doing well. The journey truly is individual, nobody can make it for him (or you!). But hopefully you can inspire him a bit with your success.

Sorry to hear that you EX is struggling so. As you know WL surgery is only a tool, not a cure by any means. Maybe he will be encouraged by your success and find his way to better health soon. Will send up some ^prayers^ for him about this ...
