Thanks for the advice Tiff! I'll definitely do the cheese stick. Can't drink Crystal Light though, or anything with artificial sweeteners in it. Artificial sweeteners inhibit my HealthyTrim from working properly. It's an appetite suppressant and metabolism booster I'm taking and you can't have anything caffeinated or any artificial sweeteners while taking it.

I am so sore yesterday! I did a bunch of arm workouts with my hand weights and then did Jillian's 30 Day Shred Day 1 Level 1. I am sore today! But, no time to sit and soak it in. Gotta get moving! Day 2 Level 1 here I come!

I'm here! I just have been busy with work. Last week saw me lose EIGHT pounds. :-o I cannot believe it. I don't know what exactly happened as it's not really water weight as I've been doing this for awhile. Who knows? Two more pounds and I am out of the 250s. I worked out today and hope that I will hit 249 tomorrow. -fingers crossed- Healthy, that sounds like a lovely meal. I had Mexican food and a burrito as thick as your wrist on Sunday. That saw a 1.4lb increase. I don't mind. It was worth it and now I am back to my normal healthy diet. Honestly, those two pounds are just water and you'll lose back down in no time. Don't begrudge yourself a nice meal every once and awhile. I know that I need cheese, pasta and carbs every now and again. And thank you! I can't believe I can run like I can now. I've been building up. I'm not too thrilled with my results. I want to at least run a mile without stopping by the end of this year. =) Good luck everyone! Here's to the 240s!

This will be my 2nd week in the 260s and I'm at 264.2 that is only .2 pounds away from 40lbs loss. This is me not complaining. If all holds true I will have one more week before I see 250 something. My goal was to see 250 by my birthday which is in the 2nd week of July but we don't always get what we want. As long as I continue to get healthier and lose in the process I'm ok with missing that goal I know I will certainly get there in time.

Hi folks! How's the journey coming for you all? Hopefully well! Today I went kayaking with my best friend. It was a lot of fun! Details are on my blog. I really hope we get to go out again. It was really pretty going down the river and seeing different animals and sights. We were out for 4 hours and 28 minutes and went 10.86 miles. Can't wait to go again!!!!

Been following this thread a bit and finally decided to post. Hope to keep company with you ladies for the next year or so, faithfully following you to ever-decreasing weight threads. But for now - yay for no longer being eligible for the 270s/280s thread! (Though, to be fair, it wasn't that hard for me to get off those first two pounds, what with the "starting a program whoosh and all." =P)

I'm trying to be a once-a-week weigher, mostly because I want to avoid the obsessiveness with scale numbers. I also found that weighing daily made me want to avoid strength training, as it messes with the numbers quite a bit (at least at first). Since strength training is going to be crucial to my long-term weight control strategy, I decided to do it this way. We'll see how it goes.

I'm trying to do strength training 4-5 days a week and cardio 6 days a week, including couch-to-5-K. I just did Week 2, Day 1 today, and it KICKED my butt. But then, I felt SO AMAZING after it was done. I don't remember getting that kind of high from exercise for a long time. I desperately want to do it again tomorrow, but I committed to myself to only do it every other day to avoid injury, etc.

Meka - I so relate to your school/full-time job worries. It's HARD, but it will be so worth it, especially when you start looking for that first post-graduation job! I actually just graduated, and have a temporary one-year position, and part of my motivation is to get the weight down for the permanent job search ahead.

HealthyMeWannabe - I have read through your blog, and am inspired by your journey! Plus - and please forgive me for my type-A personality response - I always want to do "just a little bit more" cardio than you post. Competition spurs me. I couldn't top the 10 miles of kayaking, though. =P

Elladorine - I am so in awe of your artistic talent. Thanks for sharing it here!

Synger - I seem to remember you from the last time I posted regularly (like in 2007-08, I think). If I remember correctly, you had a baby in the middle of all of this? And you're still here. Working it. So much respect for that!

Can't wait to get to know the rest of you! Going to try to do some upper-body strength training before bed!

So I got on the scale this morning and it said 262.2 my weigh-in day is not until Monday. If I weigh-in at 250 something on Monday I might just pass out even if it's 259.9 lol. I really can't remember a recent time that I wasn't around 280 something. And by recent I mean 5 plus years.

268 here, have never ever been out of this for some time, I was 230 once when I was in my early 20s. I was 265 at my lowest, so, hoping to kick this to the curve!

Hi everyone!

Today the scale said 268.9, so I'm calling 269 and coming to join in with this thread for a while. Hoping I can get a steady downward trend going here

I actually saw 259.6 on my scale today I knew it wasn't right so I stepped on it again and it said 261.6 but the fact that I saw it let's me know that it's close.

My scale was a little whacked out this morning. I saw everything from 258 to 260. So, I settled on 259, as that came up several times and was sort of in the middle. I was disappointed that the loss wasn't more, but am excited that I didn't go through any sort of mental breakdown because of it. I'm doing strength training, which often results in water retention and less of a weight loss, which is why I'm only weighing weekly to begin with. I'm just going to keep on keeping on, and hoping that my short-term sacrifice will result in long-term gains.

I weighed in at 252 for two frustrating weeks in a row, but was rewarded with a little Wednesday woosh at 248.75 (pretty major for me since I've typically been losing less than a pound a week for a while). I'm really, really hoping I'm out of the 250's for good, especially since my TOM was only 2 days away.

Hello, all, I'm going to join you. I'm 258 this morning, a touch down from yesterday. Also a bit sore, as #1 son and I spent the afternoon at the pool and I put in some yardage with the lap lanes.

Hello, I'm moving in from the 280/270 group! It's exciting..but at the same time, it's the feeling of being the biggest girl in the room again. :0

I hope to get to know some of you, the last group is very supportive!
