i totally understand what u mean about having to plan for the bulk buy, i have to do that too.
In relation to the binge day, its not up to us to tedll u if its worth it. I personally think sometimes it can be, even if it just reminds you its not worth it AS LONG AS you can deal with the bounce on the scale... and that bounce may set u back a week or more. i didnt binge on easter, or even eat horribly, but the sodium made me "gain" lbs which took a week to drop off all the way. i have a friend i encourage to do anything but binge simply because that bounce discourages her. she thinks all her hard work is down the drain so she says eff it and continues binging for a few days, truely ruins the or lbs she lost, then tries to diet again. as long as you can avoid a self perpetuating cycle like that do it if it feels right. some people find they need something akin to a binge every so often, they call it a refeed one caveat- if u find yourself doing it once a week or every few days, probably not effective... Once every 2-3 months cant hurt too badly and fits in with normal human patterns over history... Ie festivals etc where the entire tribe/town/city would pig out for a allotted amount of time |

I had a personal goal of being in the 160's this month, but that would take a miracle at this point. I just need to reset my cheat days. I used to have them twice a month, on one of the days my boyfriend was off work (every other weekend) But, his schedule has just changed so now he's off every weekend and pressures me to go out to eat with him. It's rough...I just wanna get out of this weight range! Arrgh. But, like I said, my hunger HAS gotten better since my binge day, so I'm thankful for that :) I guess it was worth it. |
I don't know that I have any solutions, but I understand your pain. :) I had no trouble keeping my calorie intake at or close to 1200 for most of my weight loss, but lately I am hungry hungry hungry and I don't know why. Maybe all the running I've been doing lately, though my rate of loss certainly doesn't seem to reflect any increased calorie burn. It's a huge struggle these days though to keep my intake close to 1200 - more days than not I'm closer to the higher end of my range (1500), and I still feel like I want to eat a lot more!

I just decided to read your story and WOW, you have come so far! You should be so proud of yourself :) I know you're struggling right now, but at least you're sexy and struggling :p You truly are an inspiration to me, thank you :) I hope that I lose weight as fast as you did. I know I shouldn't compare myself to others, but I always hear about people struggling so much to lose weight after the first 30-50 pounds... but you give me hope. Maybe I can be at 150 by mid-summer after all :p I'm sure your hunger has something to do with the running. Depending on how long you run everyday, it will probably spike your hunger ten fold. It's up to you how you want to do it, but that binge day did help me. When you eat so much that you're feeling sick it makes you think, "Okay, maybe all this food isn't as glorious as I thought." I had mine on Saturday, and I'm already back down to 173 today. Yay! That's exciting since I figured it would take 1-2 weeks to go back to normal. Thank you everyone :D :D :D Hunger is still there, but it's becoming much more manageable. |
