No matter what is happening in your life. . . lots of good things or not so good things . . . there are always things for which you can be grateful. Knowing this helps put life into perspective.

- everyday is a new beginning

- my desktop computer 'fixed itself' over night. I finally just walked away from it and the problem wasn't there in the morning

- warm springy weather

- I saw a video of Alex at Tae Kwon Do - what a hoot - all four and five year olds...Wonderful.

- dispite my surgery two weeks ago my sticker weight is still the same - so grateful for that

- family, friends, YOU ALL, cellphone, FB, internet, music

- internet shopping - such a convenience

- smiling at a new day

- I can get my mom's glasses fixe easily

- I am glad I fell back to sleep after waking up so early

- having all the things I need to pad my arch

- friends, family, YOU ALL, fb, internet, cellphone, music

- I found the little Spiderman car my GS wants for his birthday.

+ smiling along with Beverlyjoy - I like being on this side of the grass

+ a dump of snow yesterday that was actually manageable

+ felt good to shovel the deck and steps for my poor Disney

+ dogs are so funny coming in covered with snowballs

+ finished the applique on the last of the 12 Days of Christmas quilt blocks

+ made a huge pot of excellent soup from my leftovers in the veggie compartment - I feel so virtuous

+ ticker is at lowest weight since 1983 "Vanity, vanity, thy name is woman" ;)

+ Girls' Family Dinner on Sunday - 12 women and kids plus dogs

+ getting a good handle on taxes and looks like a small refund will be the result

- Shirley and her dad are OK. Somehow the twisters by passed her home... I am so grateful. I pray for all folks who have been impacted by this weather.

- today I will see my family

- slept well last night

- DS said we are having a party tonight. I never thought of it that way.

- shower chair

- my health is good enough that I can exercise like a maniac

- my self-esteem is high enough that I care when I disappoint myself

- my attitude is positive enough that mis-steps don't dissuade me

Today I am grateful for

+ my wonderful garage guys who rescued me yesterday when the transmission fluid leaked out of my car on the highway

+ was able to resist the Chinese buffet when in town

+ nice coffee chat at the Diner with Barb and Miss Lillian - sweet and fun ladies

+ was able to blow a goodly amount of money on new clothes -Size 12 in pants now!

+ bought a gorgeous red rose bush to grace the kitchen table and then go into the spring garden

+ my chicken soup for dinner was delicious and just enough

+ just a few niggles to clear up today and tomorrow - fresh start Monday

+ ticker is still truthful

+ today's warm wind will get rid of some of the snow

~ Spring will be here soon.
~ Beautiful Utah mountains will be wonderful to hike in when it gets warmer.
~ We bought a house last fall so we'll get to garden in our new large backyard this year.

Today I am grateful that

+ I refused all drink offers at the Reception last night! Driving home at one in a snowstorm was not a great experience!

+ all advance prep for tonight's dinner party is done!

+ found a linen tablecloth in my stash that will work on my oval table with the leaf in it

+ time today to try a new recipe to eat during the week for lunches

+ new clothes all fit without alterations and work well with some of my existing wardrobe

+ very warm weather expected mid-week that will knock down the snow

+ for the first time in many years, my knees let me kneel down for Communion. Aleve helped so it really wasn't a miracle!

It's Beverleyjoy's Birthday! We are glad you were born! Enjoy your special day. :grouphug:

Thanks Ruth!!! It was a special day. We are spending time at my son's home with my GS too. LOVE IT. I've had a wonderful day.

- so much fun with Alex today

- Alex painted a wooden birdhouse for me. It's a treasure.

- DIL is feeling good... only about 6 weeks or so for the new baby ...

- I played, told stories, did board games, made a cave, sang songs all day long... how could a person have a better birthday!

- the baking pan that is set up to let each brownie have an 'end piece'. DIL made brownies with candles. I had a little bit.

- I am smiling.

- I'm thankful for good friends
- Proud of my resolve
- glad the kitties are happy-cats
- thankful to see the first signs of spring
- thankful to have a job that allows me to make my own schedule

I am thankful for my health, even though I've not done much to help my body in that department lately! I will be able to lose weight before diatebes or high cholesterol catches me.

- the sun is shining brightly even though it's cold

- my grandson

- blowing out candles yesterday. It's been a long time since I had candles to blow out on my birthday. I am making a proclamation - adults should do this too every year... it's fun

- I am able to use my son's computer for a bit.

Today I am grateful for

+ feeling OK for the gym and did my revised routine

+ a Quilting meeting that went well despite a controversial topic

+ having time for a quick lunch before my dental cleanup

+ a very cold today with lots of sunshine - Spring IS coming!

+ figuring out a quilt pattern while Mary worked on my teeth so I changed my avatar

+ good evening last night - dinner for ten and they helped clean up!

+ a semi-free afternoon
