I'm doing better this week. I honestly think that pizza is the devil and I am going to have to avoid it like the plague from here on out. Every time I eat it, I put on at least #1.5 that takes me 3 or more days to drop. That's what happened last week - 1 piece... I know, doesn't sound like it should be, but this was not the first test.
TOM is coming...any.day.now. I've been an emotional basket case, and the fact that it's over a week late isn't helping the hormones.
lol@ pizza the devil! I told my family and friends once I get 120-130,I want a DARN PIZZA! I want some pizza so bad! But too many calories!
It's nice to know that I am not alone in trying to break out of the 220s. I was 225 last Saturday, and hope to see a loss on the scale this weekend (I only weigh myself once a week to avoid becoming totally obsessed). I started out at 277 in the summer of 2011, and became pregnant shortly thereafter. I had my little girl on May 29th, had a bit of a "holiday" where I didn't pay much attention to what I was eating, and am now firmly back on track. I'd LOVE to be under 200 (even if only by a tenth of a pound) by 2013, so we'll see how that goes.
I'm one of those people who were OBSESSED with the scale! I would weigh my self everyday and it get pissed! Now i weigh myself once a week and it makes my days a lot easier! However, I have a weigh-in this 8th and If I work hard, I hope I am at least 222! Working hard pays off!
I am obsessed with the scale! I've been weighing myself everyday since I started this (since April 2011). I'm obsessed, but it works for me. Sometimes I go up and down, but I don't get super mad. My "official" weigh in is on Mondays, though.

2times- You can definitely reach your goal by Vday, you just have to stay consistent but it is very doable! I'm sorry to hear about your job loss, have you started looking for other places to work or was it sudden?
Fatness- I'm at the same weight as you and have been hanging in the 230-220s for too long! I'm so ready to see the teens! Are you doing the 30 lbs by New Year's challenge?
Eny- I agree about the pizza, that is a big one for me. I hate TOM because of water retention and hormones out of whack for me, which might be why you have retained a bit. Keep your head up because you have been doing great!
Lishar- YAY for breaking your plateau! Also congrats to your BF, that's wonderful! I am trying to slowly build with the weight lifting, they are small weights I have too (3lb and 7lb)
I did Kenpo X this morning, feeling the burn today particularly in my core and thighs, mostly from yesterday and some from today. Also my husband told me to start taking one of his Muscle Pharm Gel Shots for after my workout to get in some protein and told me it would help me stay pretty full. I tried one today and I haven't had cravings this afternoon, it held me over until lunch and I have a small granola bar just in case!
I'm trying to get in as many fruits and veggies as possible right now. Trying to change certain details of my intake one thing at a time. We are grilling out Rib Eye steaks tonight, which I'm looking forward to because I love when we grill!
Yes! I'm in the 30 lbs by New Year's challenge! I can't weight to see what I have lost! Smile. To be honest I never thought I would be ale to lose this weight. I was thinking I would always be fat! I know one thing i have learned, NO MORE BIRTH CONTROL! Never again! I still blame Birth-control for the increase in my appetite and created more hormones that are not needed! Now I am seeing doctors to try to fix the problem of the Miseducation of FAMILY PLANNING AND THE GOVERNMENT AKA Population control! smile!
Cravings: I have this problem also, but I just eat salad when ever I'm up at 4:30am playing the ps3. It's not heavy and I just use oil and vinegar or sometimes a no-calorie Caesar dressing by Walden Farms. Sometimes i just chew gum to trick the brain it is eating!

You are good! I would get ready to kick the scale butt! lol lol.....
Good luck with your weight and I know you can do it!
Hey everyone!! Just a quick check-in. Nursing school is going well and I am loving it!!
I weighed in this morning at 222.2!! I am down 1.6 for the week, but TOM is here.
I want to ask you all for a quick favor; we are having some really tough financial times right now and if y'all would, please say a prayer for me and my family. Thanks!

Gotta go...studying to do.
Laters!!
That's great news an keep up the good work Peggy! I am happy that school is going awesome for you also!
Fatness- Birth control, at least The Pill, was horrible for me. It ended up having adverse effects causing me to have grand mal seizures multiple times in a week. I was constantly in and out of the hospital, seeing many specialists and neurologists trying to figure out what was going on, went through the same battery of tests numerous times, only to find out almost 2 years after they had begun, it was caused by the BC Pill. I couldn't believe it!
After that my doctor gave me Mirena, which was painful for a few days since I have not had any children yet, but it's been good to me. It took some adjusting for my body to get used to for the first 6 months but now I've had it over 4 years and it hasn't given me many problems. It has to come out next summer, I may go ahead and get another one until my husband and I decide we want children, but I do not want the pill again, unless I can find one that acts exactly like Mirena.

I never heard of Mirena, however I will check it out! Women go through so much and at the price of misinformation!
Good morning Ladies. I am excited because it looks like I may have broken my pleateau. I increased my calories and decreased my exercise. Strange but it worked. I have lost 1.6lbs in the last week. Not huge but better than staying the same. Great thing is my BF has gone from 43.9 to 42%. So things were changing even though I was not seeing it on the scale.
Enygirl It might be the salt that you are getting a gain from. If you want one just make sure you drink more water to flush out the salt.
Fatness good luck on your challenge. I am in a thanksgiving challenge. MY loss has slowed so I am not sure I will make my goal but every bit helps.
2times2much Congrats on your loss. I am sorry about your job. I hope you can find another soon. Its hard to be home and not distracted. I eat when I am bored.
Pink Hurricane Good job with the excercise. I love my weight training. I don't lift heavy yet but I will get there.
LaurieDawn- Congrats on your loss. Since I bought my new scale I have been weighing in more. I was getting frustrated with my plateau. I like seeing the body fat going down. I don't lift heavy yet but I am lifting. I am nervous about lifting heavy. Who do you get to spot you? I don't know anyone else who lifts. Being the big girl in the weight room is intimidating enough. I am proud that I can now bench press 2 20lbs dumbells. Not heavy but working on it.
I have seen a lot of women posting about their weight lost slowing down! I have heard the more slimmer you get the harder to burn the calories or you have to work extra harder to burn calories. I go in today for my weight in.. the gym scale has me at 222.11oz. So, now i will go to GNC later to make sure.
you're almost there! I'm at 223 today, so I am also feeling good that I'm on the bottom half of the 20s. I'm also in the 30 pound to NYE challenge, it'll hopefully motivate me until onderland!
Pizza is the devil. I am working late today, so I know that I am going to eat a slice today. I've been craving it all week but hopefully it doesn't put me up in the scale. may be it is the salt?
LOL@ SALT! hahahahah! I tell my self it's the water! weighing me down! lol However, i have notice if i drink too much water i do weigh little more.
