  • Today I am thankful for:

-My bf, cause even though he's miles away his text hugs still make me feel like it'll be okay.
-Fair to Midland. I get to see them tonight, and I know that for that short time I'll forget about the rest of the crap in my life.
  • I am so greatful today as i got a trip to chrleston. My hubby has some iffice work and he brought me along.
I am also greatful as i was paying attention to his driving, and just when he was changing lane i saw a car parallel to us which he did not see because of blind spot and i shouted. Just a minute prior to that, i completed my daily sudoku.
  • --I am thankful that dh loaded and ran the dishwasher while I was gone with oldest dd today

+ lovely sunny days without horrible temepratures
  • What a nice thread!

Today I am grateful for my amazing boyfriend. He makes me exercise, encourages healthy eating, made a huge batch of roasted red pepper hummus from scratch (so I can eat it!) last night, cleaned the kitchen up, and when I got up this morning, about 10 minutes after he left for work, I found all the stuff to make my breakfast laid out for me.

And, as I am every day, I'm grateful for my legs that carry me where I want to go and are about to take me on a 3.5 mile training walk in the glorious sunshine!
  • I'm grateful that school starts in 5 weeks. I need a break from the kids bickering.
I'm grateful that DH's job allows me to stay home with the bickering kids.
I'm grateful to be back with 3FC and once again in losing mode.
  • I'm grateful for sooooo much these days so pardon me if I gush -

    My (and my family's) health

Fitting on the carnival rides at the County Fair and the seats on the airplane without worrying about breaking something or seat belt extenders

the swimming pool in the backyard on 93 degree days

the first cherry dip Dairy Queen ice cream cone in 11 months

an incredible early birthday present from my parents (iPhone 4!!)

a patient who said I gave "amazing customer service" and I got a $5 Starbucks card from Quality & Compliance

an amazing trip to San Diego for Comic-Con - SO many epic moments but the highlights:
meeting Nathan Fillion & John Barrowman (such fine looking creatures)
staying up all night with fellow Torchwood & Chuck fans
seeing the Pacific ocean for the first time
walking the boardwalk and drinking a margarita
the amazing bed at the Westin
running into (literally - I was leaving a bar & he was coming in) Seth Green and having him buy me a drink as an apology
the cute guy on the plane to SD who spent 45 minutes talking nerdy with me

  • I have not posted in awhile. I have been having difficulty dealing with my father's cancer and have been eating way too much. I need to start looking for all the many things in life that I should be grateful for. So today, I am grateful:

*That I have had my parents for so long. I know many people who lost their parents when they were much younger.
    * I have a great boss who gives me the flexibility that I need.
    * My grandchildren who always bring a smile to my face
    * A loving church family
    * RL friends
    * 3FC and my friends here
    * The knowledge that I can get back on track and lose weight again.
  • + it was a lovely week with my friend, her dd and grandaughter who is 6½
+ found out some neat things by being a tourist in my own area
    + glorious weather
+ the first real tomatoes from the garden
+ my studio converts easily into a guest room
