Thanks chickies! I agree there is nothing wrong with Spanx, but I wanted to show that the amount of loose flab I have in the problem area is really insignificant when you look at the whole picture. I agree my legs are awesome, but that is typical for us apple shaped gals! Ha! So many newbies come on here with the "loose skin" fears and I think it is a crazy reason to keep you from getting healthy.

I'm hoping my loose flab and belly jelly will go away with the last 20lbs, but if it doesn't, I think I'm willing to live with it, and not seek out a surgeon. When I was 205-210, I looked BAD. I thought I'd have to have surgery, but with my new running and further weight loss, it is getting better and better. :) So I concur with the maintainers, don't make a judgement on how you'll look until you get to your goal.

I can' wait to get there.

Can I just say how much I love this part of your post? As a student, I hear a lot of negative body comments from gorgeous women in their early 20s. It's so much a part of culture that even my 7YO was really upset when the "weight guesser" at the amusement park pegged her as 20 pounds over what she was. (He was really just making sure she would get the prize, but she was totally not happy, even though she has no worries as of yet that she actually looks fat [she's a normal, healthy weight, thank goodness].) THANK YOU for acknowledging that no one has to wait for perfection to appreciate their bodies. It's way awesome.
