You are doing the right thing getting up early to workout. It always made my day much more possitive ! One good habit will lead to another good habit. Just don't get overwhelmed with changes. ONE DAY AT A TIME !!! For me it is easier to stay on my plan than to get back on my plan. Weigh in at least once a week. Watch out for food high in sodium and make drinking water one of your best friends. I wish you Good Luck !!!

I am 60 years old and was over 250 pounds for 20 years. In January I decided I'd had enough. I have no compelling health issues, so I was never motivated to lose. I love to eat, and I love just about everything! I joined a gym and exercise almost every day. I cut portions way back, eliminated most sugars, fats, pasta, rice, potatoes and processed and fast foods, and loaded up on veggies and fruit. If a 60 year old fat lady can do it, so can you!

Keep your mind focused on the short term goals - try to set a few that you are sure you will reach. The daily walk is a great one. Maybe a certain number of pounds by a certain date. Reaching the small goals will give you the push you need to stay on track in the long run.

I am surprised every day how easy this has become. Good luck to you.

Edited to add: Join the 10 pound thread that fits your current weight. It is real incentive to hear how others at your same weight are doing. It keeps you going!
