Goal weight : 199
May 31st: 208.8
1: 208.4
2: 208.2

I'm starting off slow. But I had a gréat work-out last night (I love the combination of music and the elliptical), so I'm happy with that.

You guys are superposters! I can't keep up

Diana - I like instant rewards, so if I could get stamina back by today, that would be great Can you believe the weight loss portion of this journey is over? you've done it! Congrats

Coondocks - Uhm, has your scale been talking to MY scale? I was up this morning as well. But at least it prompted me to get out my calorie counting book. I have to agree with the others, maybe you calories are too low with this extra exercise you are getting from walking Jack to daycare. We got this, soon it'll be so hot we'll only be able to eat watermelon.. and popsicles! 30 Day Shred was HARD last night, omg, and today I am sore, my thighs, back and arms are feeling the most of it. But it's good pain right now!

Vixsin - wow! Sorry to hear about your friend, but glad you are alright!!

Kukkie - 80% of weight loss is diet, so I'd definitely get your focus on that, I know thats where I need my focus. You can do it, I know you can!

Ona - it's impossible to keep up!

Paradise - welcome back!

Gale - congrats on the new low

Jami - congrats on your fabulous results so far this month!

Well my scale says I am UP 2.4 pounds, which was a pretty big jolt. I got out my dusty calorie counting book, and started writing everything down again. I think I've been using my stress as an excuse, there... I admitted it. But now it's time to get back at 'er!

I say that because I've heard a bunch of stuff from Jillian Michaels that sounds like it may apply here. She is 5'2-ish and eats 1400ish a day. It sounds to me that your body doesn't want to lose the last few so you will need to trick it into doing so. Which means you eat a couple hundred more calories so that your body feels that you are fueling it enough and then you get your deficit ONLY through exercise. Essentially, tricking it into letting go of some weight because it feels that you've fed it enough. Just thinking of ya and tryin to help. You're my girl. I always get motivation from your posts.
Thinking about it I think that's exactly what my problem is. 13-1400 was working well for me, but I didn't take into account that i've added an extra hour or so of walking 4 days a week. I'm going to up it to 15-1600 and see what happens there . . . now to figure out where to put in more food. I never thought that would be a problem ha ha!
Glad your ok with all the weather shanaigans . . . . ours here is looking mighty ridiculous lately.

Kukkie - No worries on the pity party, it happens to everyone. Whats important is that you are making the change for the better and getting back on plan, rock it out!!

Aimee - how long is the shred per workout? I def need to throw something in the mix that will get some muscle tone going. My derriere is sore like no ones business today, but in a good way

Ona - as you wisely said, you know what you're doing, you're making the right choices, it'll have no choice but to come off sooner or later

Paradise - welcome back!!

Jami - I LOVED the elliptical when I was going to the gym on my lunches, glad you're enjoying it too!!

Matilda -- Way to recognize what's normal for you. GREAT JOB on getting that workout in!

Bulletproof -- Great loss! Way to start out the month!

Bloesem -- That's a nice steady start to the month. I am also a big fan of the elliptical! The time seems to fly!

Blondie -- Yea, it's coming off pretty fast right now. I'm enjoying it while it's there because I KNOW it's going to slow if not stop all together soon enough.

Aimee -- I'm REALLY glad to see you back here again...we missed you! Good job on admitting the error of your ways and digging back in!!

Coondocks -- Me too! You already know how I feel about that darn DREADmill so I was pleasantly surprised to see how quickly the time flies on the elliptical - especially since it's clearly a more thorough workout to boot!

Coondocks - The whole thing is about 30 minutes including the warm up and cool down, it goes pretty fast because of doing intervals. Definitely good for some muscle tone and soreness!

Jami - Aww, thanks It's nice to be missed! Stress was a good reason not count what I was eating when I was only eating once a day, or once every second day. But it's time to focus on myself for once..

afternoon ladies!

scale said 269.8 today, down .3 from yesterday, but likely still retaining some water due to the fact that i snacked on sunflower seeds and it's been so hot and humid. i can feel it. my rings won't even spin on my fingers.

tonight is date night with the hubby, because his birthday is tomorrow and i've got to work late so i'm keeping food light today and drinking a lot of water. we're going to the cracker barrel then to the movies to see the new pirates movie.

Mandy - It puts a smile on my face to read about you and your new DH. It makes me remember when I was first married (I'm only 27 but have been married for 9 years), such fun times!! Things are fun now, but it was all so new and different in that newlywed stage.

Have fun at your birthday dinner and watching Pirates!

Hey chicks, for those of you who started out around my weight, how many calories did you take in? I reworked my crazy plan a bit since the wedding pressure is off, and I'm thinking I'd like to stick around 1550 calories (net after exercise). Does that seem reasonable, or should I go lower? I was eating about 900 from January til mid April, but I know that's not sustainable, and since my body has adapted back tocrazy calories this past month, I'd like to use the opportunity to get into a healthier range. I would be thrilled with an average of about 1.8-2 pounds a week. Much less than that and I'm afraid I'll go crazy.

Jami, nice to meet you too! I'm glad to be back. These ladies are my only hope of staying on track.

Swim and Coon, thanks! It's nice to see you ladies around

Paradise - What really seems to work for me is 1600-1700 range, when I'm consistent with it I lose 1-4 pounds a week depending on my hormonal changes ie.. TOM, evil TOM.

I'm nice and sweaty from day 2 of working out! It was a little better today! Phew! Now to shower and work! We got a sun camera in today, it takes pictures of sun damage (eek!!), and we are doing an event tomorrow to educate everyone on sun care and the use of sunscreen. Should be interesting!!

Some of you ladies on here will appreciate this:

I just had a hot date with Bob Harper! We went a couple of rounds, but by the end, he kicked my booty!

01 230
02 230.6 and I think I am lucky it isn't more. Yesterday I ate not one, but two birthday cupcakes. I have to make 30 cupcakes in a bit for him to take to his wrestling practice, but I don't think it will be an issue since I am still sort of nauseated by the chocolate in last night's cupcakes.

I apparently need to sit here with a notepad while reading through these if I ever have the hope to write personals to everyone. I don't know how you all remember the little details when you get ready to post.
