  • i hate sweating - HATE IT!
but there's something about 'workout sweat' that is different.
i haven't been having a great week but there's something about working out that really brings you back on track.
it feels so empowering to go beyond your comfort level and work up a sweat.
i am lucky to have working body parts and i feel good when i push myself.

    shower time!!!!!
  • Agreed! Woke up and did yoga and then walked 2 miles, doing c25k on the bike tonight after work! It feels great. Joining a gym in two weeks!

This is a GREAT reminder! We are lucky and should not take that for granted.
  • I agree, there is definitely something different about workout sweat. I really don't like sweating, but at the gym it's a whole other story. I have actually turned into one of those people that works out with a towel because I bust it until I'm dripping with sweat! Craziness.

Yay for working bodies that we can push hard!
  • Okay, Let me just say that "Workout Sweat" is amazing. Before I use to not like it. But when I started the gym again I love it, knowing I am putting so much hard work in. And seeing it on my shirt, I like to show off that I work out. lol...!!!
  • i'm glad to see you all agree!!
  • Absolutely!!! I have been complaining about being hot all day, BUT I can't wait to workout tonight (yep, its still hot), but there IS something totally different about workout sweat! I have finally discovered that I love to workout.
  • I hear everyone large and small say the same thing, workouts are LOVE. Sweating and aching are fantastic... after a workout. Even my sister is addicted to running. I am not sure what's wrong with me, maybe I'm inherently lazy but I HATE WORKING OUT!!!!! I drag myself to my 30 minute shred every morning. I look for excuses before I FORCE myself to turn on that video. Haha what is wrong with me? HAHA sigh I'm just not an exerciser. Were you all this way before you hit your groove?

Hate is a strong word but I really, really, really don't like working out at home. I didn't start to love it until I joined the gym. FWIW.
  • There are some days that I just don't want to work out. I give in on some of those days, but 90% of the time I power through a workout or long bike ride and I am so thankful afterwards.

It did take me quite a while to like working out. I normally only take one or two days off per month, and feel off if I miss a day. I know this is something that I have to do for myself and is part of my life now.

I lay in bed when the alarm clock goes off trying to come up with a reasonable excuse to skip my workout. But then somehow find my committment again - and remind myself what the alternative is. I don't dread it but have accepted it as part of my life. At best, I can tolerate my workout...at worst, I'm despising every last minute of it. I feel good afterwards (with a nice ache and a good sweat goin' on) but only because of what it means. It means I didn't let myself down today...it means I invested in my dreams.
  • i agree with jamisue.
i often have to push myself to do a workout or exercise.
but once i do it, i feel so accomplished.
    that's the part i love.
  • I. 100%. Agree.

I loathe the summertime because of the humid air and inevitable sweat.

But, sweat from a solid walk or exercise session? Oh yes! Makes me feel so accomplished.
  • I won't venture far enough to say I like workout sweat, but I will say that there is a *huge* change in my mood after a good workout. I feel invincible.
  • of course I'm the oddball !!! I hate it, I hate working out, I hate sweating, I hate sweating well after I'm DONE, I hate extra laundry for workout clothes every day LOL let's see what ELSE can i hate??? hahahahaha

It's only when I've done a thousand errands, lifted heavy groceries, mowed the lawn, cleaned the housed, and barely broken a sweat that I think "oh yah, i can DO all this because of the deliberate exercise..huh..."

    I still hate it
