You ate a boatload of sodium yesterday, I would guess that between dinner and the nachos alone it was over 4,000mg. Talk about some serious water retention. I retain water for days after I eat out (a good 2 lbs worth.)
If it's causing you stress then lay off the scale in between your "real" weigh ins. You're doing a great job, don't let one weigh in get you off track.

Soooo... I just looked it up and your dinner at Chili's (excluding the cheese fries and assuming you had the mashed potatoes with black pepper gravy) was 1,370 calories and a whopping 4,070mg of sodium. That doesn't include the candy, nachos or cheese fries. Give yourself a break on the weigh in today, you had a high calorie, high sodium dinner last night! The scale will always bounce upward in that situation. Such is life. It's no reason to be frustrated though, just a reason to stay on plan today!

Gale is so right! This is a trend I have noticed in myself as well.

Not great to WI after you eat and work out...I'm assuming you drank a bunch of water during and after your workout - 85 mins is amazing BTW! - and that could've a big effect too.

Also, I've noticed that if you're frustrated with your WIs, it's best to fight the urge to way more and lean toward weighing less often...for a bit anyway. Weighing more often could compound your sad feelings if you continue to see gains, maintenance, or even small losses.
