I wish we had a place to chat or is there and I am just missing it? I think a chat would be so fun and help me if I could pop in in the afternoons when I feel like snacking. I feel like I "know" so many of you great people and would love to talking back and forth. Can you tell I am distracting myself from the chocolate chip cookies I baked for my kids after school treat. LOL

i was thinking the same thing... there are several places on the web to create a free chat room, but i wasn't sure of the rules on that.

They used to have one here, but it was removed. Not sure why.

that's too bad... i enjoy chats, they serve my 'instant gratification' need for a response really well...

Sometimes I'm in the mood for "chats", but usually I'm not. ;) I like the sentiment though! I do better in general in message board situations. It's all about ONE topic, I can take the time to process the topic, then process my thoughts, then think of something witty to say. ;) I can edit out my many "oopsies" and I can follow the topic very well.

I do better on message boards than in person!

eliana i am the same way. i much prefer to communicate in text. when asked 'why is that?' i answer 'because i don't have a backspace key on my mouth'...

LOL! Precisely! And I'm the type that thinks of something clever to say 10 minutes after the conversation. Here, I can come back and add it! :D

My dad and I had a rough relationship prior to the invention of email. Once we could both hit the /delete/ button, our relationship improved! :rofl: True story!

my fiance and i have agreed that if we fight, it will be via instant messenger or email. so we can edit out any hurtful things that might have been blurted out 'in the heat of the moment' haha. i tell him the kids are gonna be like "uh oh mommy and daddy are fighting again, mom just went into her room and now she's typing furiously..."

and i now have a much better relationship with my aunt, because we communicate via facebook instead of the phone. which both of us hate. yay technology!
