Thankyou for still supporting me!

Yesterday I mooshed up the bread and added it to the dogs' food. Then I finally made a healthy meal, rather than chomping down on whatever my tiny convenience store sells. It's a big vat of ground beef with vegetables and spices, and will freeze nicely.
This morning I had oatmeal, not slabs of bread. It's a start. :)

And the final act of commitment, I got on the scales this morning. Hm. One of those readings where you're torn between 'wow, could have been a lot worse' and the realization that if I hadn't frittered away the last week, I'd have been at pre-trip weight.
However.

Good for you for facing the scales. That can be one of the toughest parts. Onwards and downwards! :)

Rosinante 02-07-2011 01:30 PM

Hm. Fell into chocolate again today. Sigh.

You are making great progress, dont get too down about the choco.

Getting rid of the bread = A+
Making healthy food = A+
Facing the scale (and not freaking out) = A+

Very happy for you :)

Sending you good wishes. I wish I could give you "THE ANSWER" but I can't because I have not found it yet for myself. My best advice - throw out the chocolate and just keep plodding. You just have to keep going. You really have done so well. I still can't even imagine what 162 is like, but I hope to find out some day.

Left foot .... right foot ... left foot.... right foot ... left foot .... right foot ... left foot .... right foot... left foot ............... towards the goal.

Rosinante I think chocolate is okay. You can plan into your food for the day.
I think it helps me stay on plan knowing I can have some sweets.

Great Job getting on the scales! We can do this. I have been on plan for three days now. I need to work on some of my food choices though. I have been eating to many carbs my trainer says to cut back.

Chocolate isn't inherently bad. It's just that for many, including myself, it is a serious trigger to overeating.

ubergirl 02-07-2011 10:10 PM

It is HARD but not IMPOSSIBLE to get back on track....

Keep plodding...

I have had a bizarre desire to overeat raw flax seed. Last night, I put it behind the frozen vegetables in the freezer, and told myself that in order to get it out, I'd have to realize that I had planned NOT to eat it....

I did eat some. But I measured it. It's a start.

Hugs  Rosinante.

Rosinante 02-08-2011 12:29 PM

Thankyou for all the hugs and support.
Today I had a healthy oatmeal breakfast, a tuna salad lunch, and will have plain roast meat and veggies tonight.
I had a cup of coffee and a cupcake mid-morning but it was teeny tiny weeny compared to the giant muffins the place also sells.
So far, so good.
