: Kris!! We're all thinking of you! Like Ona said, one day at a time. Heck, one MINUTE at a time if it needs to be.

We ALL are right next to you every step of the way!!!! Don't ever feel ashamed. That's just not allowed here!

Feel better soon, dear. You can make it to the other side of this! You have come too far to give up on yourself now! Remember how hard you were working before the ball? Remember how great it felt to workout and make those healthy choices? Remember seeing the scale reward you for all the hard work that you had done? I do. I know you do too.

We all struggle. It's inevitable on a journey as trying as this one. But that's what is so great about this place....I have never felt SO much like a part of something great as I do here. We're here with you. **** Kris, if you can't walk right now, we will CARRY you! Look in the mirror and look for that woman that WE see! She's still in there. There is NO way that she is gone!

We believe in you!!!!!!!!!!!!!

to all of you. Everyone is so nice and supportive . . . thank you. I will do my best to post more and stay more focused. Work is crazy busy and life is crazy busy. My daughter started night classes this week so I'll have the boys (Micah 2 yrs and Maddox 7 months) 3 nights a week - my daughter walks out the door as I'm walking in and won't get home until after the boys are in bed. I love the time with the boys, but I'm a little rusty at multi-tasking with two babies by myself.

I should get to bed. I need to go into work early tomorrow to try to get some filing done before my boss gets in the office - my plan is to be at work by 6:30 (8 hours from now), so I better get my butt to bed. Thanks again guys. Hopefully tomorrow I'll have a good number to report (although weighing that early might not allow that).

Hi everybody! Been MIA, my baby has been sick! I am holding on so far! I think cutting on the carbs help some, but I am not losing like I was before. I keep trying to focus on the healthy habits I am trying to develop and continue, like exercising and healthy eating. If I focus on the lack of loss poundage-wise, I get too caught up in that bad cycle of food deprivation then binging. Another reason I like to check in with you all, you keep me accountable!

I see some excellent progress from so many of you! I love to see your commitment to exercise and being OP with your eating. I know your struggles with falling off and getting back to the plan are just like mine! We all understand each other so well.

Kris- I can't say anything more or better than what Vixsin said so eloquently and I have to agree with Diana too. Maybe posting daily will help a little. Sometimes it is so easy to lurk and very often it seems you go unnoticed. But I know there is always someone on here that will ask where so and so is not long after. As for comparing yourself to others, you just gotta stop that now. We all have different bodies, different goals and different ways of getting to them. Change your mindset to see the things you can accomplish, as you said, a few minutes at a time. We are here to cheer you on!

FitKristi- Great job! You are doing so awesome! 20 day commitment = great pay off! I gotta keep this in the front of my mind as I go through my day!

Vixsin- I have a 5 year old boy and he sounds like your sons twin! Yours and Angie's for that matter. My only son...wow, boys are so challenging!

Thiningvegan- Excellent job!

Angie- I am glad your surgery went well! I have gallbladder attacks. My last one was the day of Thanksgiving, I thought I was going to die! I had to take a Vicodin to stop the pain. I did a lot of research about it and I am still on the fence whether to remove it or not. I think I need to try to change my dietary habits before I do anything else. I am a notorious starver/binger, a HUGE reason for gallbladder attacks! That and fat/oil will send me into an attack right away. Boo! So I am trying to eat WAY cleaner and less processed foods, fats, etc. But I still may consider the surgery, if a really bad one hits me again. Anyway, you look like you made a speedy recovery!

Okay I best get to bed in case my little one gets up sick again tonight. Get a jump on some sleep while I still can! See you all tomorrow! Especially Kris! lol...right?

Hugs,
Leah

Thought I would share what I have to deal with on a daily basis in the breakroom at work . . . and it's all free. There's also a fridge full of juices, high fat yogurts, pop, etc. And there are two candy dishes in the office - located in high traffic areas. The candy dish at the reception desk is full of mini candy bars and things like Lindt chocolate truffels and there is another candy dish right outside the breakroom that is kept full of M & M's. It's totally crazy.

Here's more . . . Most of the time there are also individual bags of mini Oreos, mini Lorna Doone cookies, and chips ahoy, etc.

Good Morning, All!

Today I have a hair appointment (cut/color). We always eat at a Japanese restaurant that I really like when we have hair appointments. I expect a sodium gain tomorrow. I have modified what I order, when we go there, since my lifestyle change. Now I order the teriyaki beef w/vegetables. It is normally served with rice not veggies.

Calories for yesterday: 1540

Weigh In: 162.8

No Change

I think this is my 3rd day at this weight. I think this is a first for me. I have stayed at a weight for 2 days, but not more. I always fluctuate.

I might not be able to do much with personals the next couple of days. I'm trying to finish up some stuff at work before the end of the month.

Have a wonderful, on plan day!

Kris I know this is going to sound crazy, but is there any way that you can talk to yourself and convince yourself that that those foods in the break room are toxic? I know anytime I have had foods not on my plan, they never taste as good as what you imagine them to taste. Or at the time they taste good, but that feeling lasts only a few minutes at the most. It's not like they make you feel good for any length of time. In fact, afterward you normally feel like crap. It may not work for you, but it does help me. I also see the way my DH eats, and it makes me sad. He is on a lot of diabetes meds and they cost us a small fortune. It would shock you. He doesn't seem to be able to change his eating habits. All of his food choices for dinner last night were bad. He did not make a single good choice. After all of his meds his sugar was still 250 last night. Sometimes I will tell myself if DH would eat it, it's not a good choice for me.

Hey guys.

I don't think I've checked into the second installment of the thread yet so here's the full month's report:

1: 207
2: 207
3: 208
4: 206
5: 205
6: 204
7: 204
8: 204
9: 205
10: 204
11: 205
12: 205
13: 205
14: 205
15: 205
16: 205
17: 205
18: 206
19: 204
20: 204
21: 203
22: 205
23: 204
24: 204
25: 204
26: 204
27: 203
28: 203
29: 203
30: 203
31: 203

So, grump grump, close to 3 weeks that I have been hovering around 204 (though I did dip down to 203 once within the past week, and almost did again this morning before the scale made up its mind and picked 204).

I'm not concerned - I don't think it's a real stall, it's more that I have had a **** of a time getting into a good solid routine this month. So I'm not concerned, rather just annoyed. As soon as I get my act together I'm sure the numbers will start moving again.

I've got to trot off to work - hope everyone's having a good day.

I know those kinds of foods are killing me. I look at my mom and my brother-in-law, both with serious diabetic complications, and know I need to take better care of myself. From February last year until recently I've done a great job of avoiding those things - it's just been recently that I've fallen back into old habits. But I'm back on track.

Have a good day everyone. I have lots to do today and am already at work so I better get busy.

Morning all I'm still having these crazy (wonderful) losses...down 3lbs today to 224.2 -- I admit I was trying hard to stick to my plan the last few days but I didn't expect that...I'm back to my lowest weight, and just a few ounces away from a 50 lb loss. Hopefully I'll celebrate that tomorrow.

Kris -- Those 2 boys have got to be a handful after a full day at work. Could you bundle them up and take them out for a walk in the evening? It might help the 2 year old get some of his energy out, and you can get some exercise pushing them in the stroller. Sorry, I'm not sure about how much snow you get there, so forgive me if that's an impossible suggestion...lol. If it is, substitute stroller for a little sled and you can pull them around, I'm sure they would love it. Oh my gosh, where on earth do you work?? That is totally crazy...all that junk food. It's like the temptation room in The Biggest Loser!

Leah -- I had never had a problem with gallstones until last August, but they told me that it is common after losing weight. I just felt I had to do it, I couldn't face more nights in emergency when I had attacks; plus it was becoming a burden to my mom to have to take the day off work or lose sleep all night staying with my DS while I was in. Make sure you do go in to have them check you out if you have an attack as they can do serious damage in some cases. I think it's probably normal to begin losing slower as you get closer to your goal. You are probably still losing similarly, if you used a % of your body weight, but the numbers are lower. Hope your little one feels better soon.

Diana -- Enjoy your day, hair appointment, dinner out, sounds great! I have found I can eat at my favourite Chinese restaurant too, but I just skip the majority of rice/noodle and deep fried stuff. There are lots of meat/veggie options too. I like your advice to Kris about imagining the food is toxic. That type of strategy has worked for me for a lot of things...I tell myself that they are not even real food, just a combination of ingredients and chemicals that form food-like shapes. This is more true when it comes to making lunch for my DS than anything. I tell him he has to eat his fruit/veg in his lunch each day MOnday-Thursday and on Fridays he can have something junky... I don't want to make these things totally off limits to him, but everything in moderation. I'm trying to shape the way he looks at food in a way that will help him later. As for your stall, maybe you need a calorie shake up...sometimes a little extra can help. Enjoy your dinner tonight.

Carter -- Welcome back. I'm just getting back into a routine this month too. I've been off track for a while. One thing that I think will help is that I've started a Biggest Loser contest at work, so I'll be weighing in there once a week with everyone. The more accountability the better for me.

Kristi -- Wow, you've lost 13lbs already this month!!?? That's awesome!

Down 1.2 to 216.0 on the dot today!

I don't know if I'll make my 214 goal for this month with all of the bouncing I've been doing but I'm sure trying!!!!

Kris: WOW! to all of that craziness!!! I am thankful that the job I have is in a small office = NO breakroom or vending machines! Stay strong, Kris! We're thinking of ya!

Court: Back on the horse today, right girl! How's the running? Don't let that water weight frustrate you. Fight back with a couple of solid on plan days and it will fall right back off again!!!

Ona: Here come the 2-Oh's!!!!! Great job!
