Default I'm having a love affair with a salad

For the past 3 nights I have been faithful...and what kills me is the fact that none of the ingredients alone make my favorites list~

4 cups torn baby spinach (not a fave)
approx 1/2 oz crumbled gorgonzola (not a fave)
approx 1/2 oz candied pecans chopped (okay, these are awesome anytime)
1 large pear, juicy and not too crisp, cored and chopped, with skin (not a fave)

Approx 3 tbsp red wine vinegar
Approx 1/2 tsp - 1 tsp yellow mustard
Approx 1 tsp olive oil (recipes for this type of salad always call for more oil - but I prefer it light)
1-2 packets of splenda, sugar, or other sweetener
Pinch of salt
Fresh ground pepper to taste

Makes a giant salad (could easily be split for two large side salads), and the small amounts of higher calorie ingredients keep it to about 375 calories for the whole thing while still tasting luxurious (and while it's not low fat by any means, it has tons of Vitamin A, C, and E, and a good dose of fiber)...and seriously, I'm in love

Yes- I am a salad junkie!! This sounds wonderful. I can't wait to try it. The gorgonzola- what does it taste like? Does it have about the same amount of calories as mozzarella? I could substitute that. I'm kinda weird about cheese- picky I guess you could say.
Thank you spixiet for the idea!

Gorgonzola is a blue cheese...and I don't like blue cheese, but I like it in this combination with the sweet of the pear and tang of the vinaigrette. I don't know what it is about this combination, but my roommate (who hates blue cheese and mustard) loves this salad~

With it being cold, I am mostly done with salads with one exception.

I like massaged kale salad which is oh so good and seems a lot more wintery than a crisp salad which is more summery.

Ohh... sorry I am a little slow- the whole point of this is even though separately you do not like these- together they are yum! I will have to give this a try. I am not a big fan of spinich either unless it is cooked. So this will be a good way for me to get raw spinich in me. Thank's sweetie!
