I hear you on the wire free. I have the opposite problem posted here. Finding a 44 B without an under-wire is difficult.

I can't do underwire either.. even in highschool at 130 pounds I couldn't wear a wired bra. I won't even put myself through the nightmare again trying to find one that works for me.. bras are too expensive to be playing the lets keep trying different sizes and styles to get one that doesn't hurt.

Seriously though...where do smaller people shop?

I'm a 32A down from a 36C. I buy my bras in the girls department. There's no Victoria's Secret or Norstrums within reasonable driving distance and the smallest bras I've been able to find in the regular bra department are 34B.

Thanks for this thread. I've been thrilled with my Jeunique 34GG bras that I get via mail order but they've gone out of business. This style has non-stretch straps and no underwire and has done amazing things for my figure even when wearing a 42H.

I've run into same issue as OP, you can get GG cup sizes in "big girl" stores but no band size 34. I can get band size 34 at Victoria's secret but the lady politely sent me on my way when I asked where the sizes over DD were. I went to department store that had bra fitters and the closest they could come was 38G in style that had molded cups. So I took my $75 bra and immediately cut it up to move the hooks to get a better fit. Annoying.

Have a trip planned to specialty bra store as soon as the old 34GGs need replacement but glad to see the links for mail order if I have to do that.

My irk is that I don't think we're so weird! Something like 95% of women wear the wrong size bra. Well, gee...do you think it could be because the right sized bras aren't offered? LOL! I am not tiny. Happy, yes, but not tiny. The fact that I properly wear a 32 and yet 32 is the smallest size in NORMAL stores and there are only a handful even then tells you that yes, women are wearing bra bands too big and cups too small. :dizzy: So make the band smaller and the cup bigger! :?: I do not understand.

I always thought large busts were sought after but it makes me feel freakish instead.

I agree! If my bustline is fantasy ideal, why can't I even order a sexy nightgown with an actual supportive bra in it? I put on styles that claim to be supportive and my chest either immediately falls out of the top or the "girls" slip below what counts as the band on these items. Grrr...
