Losing wt affect mammogram results?

  • I have to return to get a diagnostic mammogram because my last mammogram shows 'something' different when compared with my previous mammo's.

I am not freaking out, this is not uncommon, better to be safe than sorry-right? But, it did get me to thinking. I've lost 60#'s and maybe that could change a mammogram result? I mean my whole body looks different and I'm sure that would show up in any xray, scan, etc that I would have today compared to even last year.

Just curious if anyone else has had this experience. Not asking for medical advice. Would just love to hear if any one has anything to share. Should have asked my doctor when she called me but it just didn't occur to me at the time

    Thanks in advance.
  • I don't know. I am having a mammogram this afternoon and now you have me wondering.
  • I don't know either. Hmmm. This reminds me though, I got a letter back in January saying it was time for my mammogram and I never made the appointment...calling today to schedule it before I forget again.
