For me, moderate calorie cutting and light exercise will lose me 1.5-2 pounds per week with no regains. Some weeks more, some weeks less, but 1.5 was my average for the fifty pounds lost before this pregnancy, excluding weeks I went off plan.

I do NOT go to the gym due to the way my budget and lifestyle happens to be, so exercise for me is exercise DVDs like Leslie Sansone, resistance bands and a stationary bike.

I cannot say thank you enough ladies. I always find it amazing how much support I get here. I just might try doing some smaller goals! Are there any others besides just "decades" I can try? I always see really random and different ones on signatures, but I really don't know what they mean... can anyone interpret?!?!?!

GOAL!

Most of the "bye bye decade" goals are there to keep the goals really small. I like about 5 pounds between mini goals and no more than 10. I like them really, really small. :D

I have three 100 goals: to get down to only 100 pounds to lose, to get down into the 100's, and to have lost 100 pounds.

I also have my BMI goals: to get down to severely obese (245), then just obese (215), then just overweight (195), and finally "normal" (goal!).

so my goals are not evenly spaced at all...

Hi there and welcome back. To answer your question about "how long" it takes, well, in my case it took me 16 months to reach my original goal of 175 pounds lost. The rest I lost just trying to find my sweet spot, so it took several months for the last 15. Anyway, the great thing about it is, I never once stepped foot in a gym, (well, a fitness center I should say, I've gone to the kids gym to watch sporting events 100's of times :))

I excercise a lot everyday, but my excercise come in the form of hard physical work and pushing a lawn mower for hours at a time :D

Welcome! I recommend that you shoot for losing 1.5 to 2 pounds a week, do the math for how many months that will take, and go for it. I did the math for losing at different rates, its rather motivating to think I could be done and in dresses and heals again next summer!!

Wow Lori Bell, thats an amazing accomplishment.

Also, as some of you might be able to see, I added some mini goals to my signature... even though I feel like it makes it a bit long :/. Now that I weighed myself today, I'm only TWO pounds away from achieving one of them apparently. Who knew?!
