Hi everyone,
I am also coming in about a month late, but I would really like to join the Christmas challenge as well. I would like to be down 40 lbs. by Christmas. That would put me at 159. I have not posted much, but I do a lot of lurking and reading and relating. Thank you for letting me join and thank you to everyone who has been so supportive, even though you don't know it.

I wish I'd found this post earlier - but that's my fault for never clicking on it! I started my weight loss at the beginning of August, so I'm going to post my old weights too, hope that's okay. My goal for Christmas is 225lb. The lowest I've been as an adult is 230, for like 5 months, so that 225 is pretty exciting. I've only tried to lose once or twice before and neither effort was very serious. I'm much more confident this time and I don't feel like I'm on a diet. It's more like a MASSIVE overhaul of my eating habits -- I can still eat that brownie or go out to brunch, I just can't do it every single day.

On July 27, I weighed 288lb, all time high.
(Actually my all-time high could have been in the low 290s, but I wouldn't know cause I never weighed myself. So, in my world, it never happened. )

Thanks so much Siobhan!!! I am SOOOO excited. It makes me even more determined to do well this week and be in the 270s. (Still a grotesquely high number, but I'm still excited by it. hehe)

With a great attitude like yours, you'll be in the 270s before you know it. Thanks for your kind comment about my blog. It has helped me a lot to be able to "talk" about what I'm going through. I look forward to reading yours.

I would like to join! My goal is to lose 34 pounds by the last weigh-in. This would lower me to 209 and back in most of the clothes I can't wear in my closet right now.

Weighed this morning and lost 2.6 lbs this week!

Sept 11 - 279 (-4) I'm glad I weighed yesterday (and throughout the week). I gained those 4 back in water weight in 24 hrs. I <3 PMS.
Sept 18 - 281 (+2) I can visibly see see the fat shifting. I have flat spots. It's just a matter of waiting it out.
Sept 25 - 278 (-3) Yay.
Oct 2 - 274. (-4) Yay.
Oct 9 - 272 (-2) See 9/11 reading. Yeah...same scenario. I'm omitting the 4 lbs of water again.
Oct 16 - 271 (-1) Much better than the two pound gain this time last month.
Oct 23 - 268 (-3)
Oct 30 - Oops. On vacation. Not sure. I was at 271 (+3) when I came back. I'll keep it. Sounds reasonable since I was a little piggie.
Nov 6 - 265.8 (-5) That would've been awesome w/o the vacation weight from last week.
