I'd had enough...

So I decided one day, little under a year ago, to own up && make a change. I weighed 292lbs, was a size 24 && was flat out disgusted with myself. I have lost 92 lbs so far. Im wanting to lose another 25-30. Im very happy with what Ive achieved so far. Im down to 200 && size 14's. I have never seen this in my adult life. What keeps me encouraged && focused is the differeces I can see. I never knew I had such well defined neckline && shoulders. Its like looking at a new person. I look younger now too. I cant wait to see what difference the next 25-30 brings me. I wonder what size clothes Ill wear && better yet, how good Ill feel! I dont know how Ill react to being in Onderland! Im stoked :) I havent seen it in my adult life!

Zoesmama 07-20-2010 01:22 AM

Wonderful job! That is an accomplishment for many congrats. I'm at the same start today. So what did you do? hehe I know how but I'm just fed up. I meant to start some exercise today but gosh I was not feeling energetic at all.

ORSewmama 07-20-2010 01:27 AM

Wow! That is just a fantastic achievement! :D

MablesGirl 07-20-2010 01:29 AM

congratulations on the 92 pounds lost so far! that is great.

Scilla 07-20-2010 02:21 AM

I eliminated a lot of things from what I eat. I don't eat beef, pork, fast food (unless subway counts, haha), I stopped drinking sodas && drink only water or gatoraid. I dont eat candy at all. I still eat what I want though, I just dont eat much of it.

I really just developed a new attitude about food. I realized Id eat just cause...&& it was time to change. I tricked myself into exercising. I dance for exercise && power walk to.

I could never follow those diets they sell to people. WW, atkins, south beach, etc. I. found what worked for me.&& it was me changing my attitude about it all. Nothing tastes as good as feeling thinner feels. Thats what keeps me from slipping back into old habits. :)

You eat what you want - but it seems by eliminating certain foods (& drinks) that you no longer want them - and that's what I had to do - change the foods that I wanted.

Oh yes, it's simply marvelous finding all these new bones and things. It's like I was meeting the *real me*for the first time. It's a fabulous time of self growth and self discovery - in many ways.

You've done great so far!!! Keep up the great work. Just keep on going,. I know it seems hard to believe, but there are many more discoveries and rewards headed your way. Be prepared to be totally and completely blown away!

I look forward to hearing of your continued progress. :)

Yes!!! Good for you. You can see that change is doable. And through that change anything and everything is possible. You CAN do this. You absolutely can. We ALL have the ability to lose the weight. We are all capable of it. I look forward to hearing of YOUR success.

Yep, I eliminated certian things because I realized how bad they really made me feel. But I still eat the foods I do enjoy because I told myself if I say Ohhh.. Im on a diet I cant have that ever again. Well I would resent the whole idea and just say screw it, ya know. It truly is about moderation though :)

I will help anyone as best I can. I have to say you cant do this for anyone but you. The road to new self discovery is gorgeous. You ladies starting where I did, you can do it. Start slowly, make slow changes you know you can stick to, && you'll see that its not such a long road or big one really. :)

Your "plan of attack" is much like mine. I haven't gone with any one certain style of dieting, no support group other than 3fc, I just do what works for me. Keep up the good work girl ,your doing awesome!

sept15lija 07-20-2010 12:41 PM

Congrats on the awesome weight loss. I'm amazed by how long my neck looks and also my collarbone area too.lol. U feel like a different person also, which is very nice. I have a couple of questions for u. Did ur weightloss stall for a lil while at any point and if so what did u do to overcome it? I started off around the same weight u were and I got down to 223 then the next day gained a pound then the following I gained 2 more lbs and then another 2 lb gain. I've been eating healthy and exercising this whole time. Do u have any advice for me? lol. I would greatly appreciate it.
