Wow Uber, that's fabulous! You will be there before you know it the way you are going at the moment.
I have 22lbs to go and this last week I've really started to feel like it's actually going to happen too.
You're right there!! It's yours. It's yours. You ARE going to get there. Without a doubt. INCREDIBLE!!
And for the record, I too lowered my *goal* once I got there. I had set it just into the overweight category, never imagining I could get lower, given my previous former low weights (as a teen, very young adult), but given the healthy foods, exercise and good habits that became part of my life - no problem - smashed that original goal and went on to a normal, healthy BMI.
You always have to time to re-assess and than re-asses once more. Nothing is set in stone. It's all up to you.
This is great! And, yes, I got to goal a few months ago, and decided to lower it by another 20 pounds. I'm still not entirely convinced I'm where I want to be, so I very well may end up losing more. Point is, I think the best time to reassess your goal is once you get there, or very close, because it's just so hard to guess what'll be right for you until you're near.
Thanks Catherine and Robin for giving your perspective on the "goal" issue.
I know I picked 175 for one reason and one reason only. I simply could not bear putting a lower weight because then my fitday ticker would not allow me to get to goal by this summer-- so I picked the lowest weight fitday would allow me to get to in 14 months, and even then, fitday was giving me a "warning" that my rate would be too fast.... well, sigh, fitday was right and I did not hit that goal by July.
I am going to reevaluate when I hit 175 but the great thing is that two weeks ago I thought that goal was at least 6 months away, and now I feel like I think I can get there faster.
