Sweaty McSweaterson Here

Thinking back to when I was young and fit at 165 lbs...I was a warm blooded person then too and remember feeling warmer than most people. It wasn't until I got really big 225+ that I started to actually perspire like crazy and look flushed all the time. At my highest weight of 275, I could wring out my bra at the end of the day and often stuffed wadded up paper towels in my armpits just to not soak my clothing.

I've lost 25 lbs and haven't noticed any change. I hope that I will end up one of the ones who is freezing all the time when I get to goal. I'd love to have that problem. At least when you are cold, you can sit on a heating pad or wear sweaters. When you are big and sweaty like me, the only hope is to strip naked and stand in front of a fan and I can't do that at work!!

I'm always cold now. I didn't much like the summer because of the places that would sweat when I went outside to do anything. Thankfully it's better. keep loosing, you'll see.

I'm wondering if it's partly age-related. When I was young and slim I used to sweat a lot more. But even before the weight loss, I didn't sweat muchNow, unless I'm working out, I hardly sweat at all. (just like everyone else, I sweat buckets when I exercise, it rolls right off my face...)

I HATE air conditioning now, and last night my husband was shocked when I pulled the big quilt over me-- the air conditioning was making me freezing.

And when it's hot out, I feel comfortable. I sweat so little now that it seems weird to me.

I know exactly how you feel OP. I had the same problem. It's hard to hide head sweat too lol. I remember it being the dead of winter, and I'd go to school and walk from my car, up one flight of stairs (I'd park in the teacher lot which was right behind my building because I was lazy lol) to class and my face would be red and soaking wet by the time I got there. It was horribly embarrassing... especially being in high school and all. *shudder*

It definitely gets a LOT better when you lose weight. The more you lose, the more activity it takes to get sweaty. For me at least. Every now and then I'll be at a check stand at a store and notice that I'm not dripping sweat, which was the norm for me for so long.

Not to be a buzzkill here, since most of the replies say it's going to get better, but it may not. I have to take medication every day to control my sweating, because it's out of control, no matter how much I weigh. I sweat so much, so fast, my skin can't keep up with it, and if I stop taking my meds I get sweat blisters all over - where I've produced so much sweat (even in the dead of winter) that it can't all escape and piles up under my skin.

If you're truly concerned about it, a quick trip to the doctor will put your mind at ease. I asked my doctor about it a few years ago, when I was at my highest weight, and he remembered that even as a skinny kid I was always dripping.
