It definately isn't always easy to see that number every morning, esp the past few days while TOM has been here, but it's the one thing that I have found keeps me going.

Yep, I avoided the scale right up to my highest weight, 248! :( I need to get on the scale every morning to hold myself accountable. I may not like the number but it I have to accept that it reflects my choices.

Hi my name is uber_cast and I am addicted to my scale.

I weigh myself ever 1-3 days. I can't help it The scale just stares at me every time I walk into the bathroom....

When I don't weigh, I gain. So I try to weigh at least a couple times a week if not daily. I know it can get depressing, but I have just learned to press on. Yesterday the scale went up .8lbs, and then today it went down 1.4lbs. I also try and take my measurements on a regular basis. I've realized that even if I'm up on my pounds, I am sometimes the same measurements or even less. Try not to let the weight be the end all be all of your health. Sure, it's a good indicator, but there are other indicators too like measurements, body fat, etc.

I weigh daily. It tells me what I need to know about my food choices and activity the day before. I am still learning what affects me and what doesn't. Like this weekend I had potato salad and it was killer on my weight. I gained 5lbs I have lost it now but now I know that even a small amout matters...it helps me

I am not avoiding the scale, because, well, I am addicted to it, I think. I would rather see it be consistently the same, than have it go up.

I also realize that when I don't weigh myself everyday, I am usually in a constant binge mode, and just don't want to think or deal with my weight.

I do avoid writing my food down when I am not very good about my diet.
