Oh hey, I'm NORMAL.
I hit my last mini-goal today. I weighed in at 183.6, and just scraped into the "normal" BMI range at 24.9. I really don't know what else to say, at the moment, because I knew this day was coming, and I've thought it to death, and I'm still not quite done, yet, but oh my gosh, I am a NORMAL weight for my height.
It can be done, people. It took me 632 days to lose 192 pounds, and achieve a normal weight, but I did it. You can do it. It can be done, it really, really can. I just, wow, don't know what else to say right now, except, onward to goal, I guess. :) |
Amazing! Such an inspiration way to go!!
|

Hi Catherine ... I bet it feels superb being "normal", your have done so well! Congrats! I can't remember the last time I was normal, sigh. Did you have your high enthusiasm through your whole journey? I need a little push right now.

What a huge accomplishment!!
Sometimes I get so down about losing another 60 lbs, but stories and testimonies from other people that lose that and more really inspire and keep me going. Thank you for sharing with us!! |
Congrats!! It's such a neat feeling!!
|
That's a huge achievement especially coming from where you started. You've lost a whole person and I guess you never want to find her again.

Bend your head down a little, so I can hang over your head a tricolor satin ribbon with a gold medal hanging from it.
You did it. And I hope you take the time to savor this moment properly, and let it sink in, before looking beyond it at any other numbers you hope to achieve. Don't hurry past the scenery. It's a nice place to be in. You have my heartfelt congratulations. |
I agree with saef..... enjoy your accomplishment!!!! This is fantastic.

|
Thank you, everybody! And, yes, I am totally savoring this place I am now, even though I'm not quite where I want to end up. I was also relieved to see that yesterday wasn't a hallucination, and this morning's weight is, yep, still normal.
I'm still pretty giddy and stunned by it all. Thank you all again for the support. It really helps so much to be able to talk with people who get it. |
I am so happy for you!!! What a huge (not strong enough word) accomplishment!
I know for me, stepping into that *normal* BMI was one of the greatest days of my journey. It's what I had longed for, for decades - to be normal. Average, regular, not standout-ish, ordinary - yet I would use none of those words to describe the feeling of being that way - because it feels STUPENDOUS, EXTRAORDINARY, PHENOMENAL, DELIGHTFUL, PEACEFUL, oh and so much more. Enjoy you and your normal self. :) |
