If you do child's pose with your knees out to the side, and your feet together, there's plenty of room for your belly and chest.

Thanks for the tip seagirl :) I am pretty sure no matter how much weight I lose, I will forever be busty (I was back in high school when I was thin..sure they aren't going away, they will just be a bit lower now..lol)

Don't under estimate yoga as a workout. It makes you feel amazing and helps you in other workouts. Try the Biggest Loser Yoga. It has begginer levels and you can kind of customize your workout. Hope that helps. |

So yes---dvd's and home instruction will get you all the benefits of yoga! Miss Koo said: "So, yuppies do yoga, hippies do yoga, fat chix do yoga!" Ha! I personally practice a little-known form of yoga called *bum-knee yoga*, and I have a friend who's just invented *carpal-tunnel wrist yoga*. basically, what we do is what yoga we can interspersed with our assigned physical therapy exercises. There is one rule and one rule only: If it hurts you have to stop. Period. |
Hiya.. it's ok.

I love yoga, and have done it at all my weights from biggest to smallest. I highly recommend the AM/PM yoga series by Rodney Yee. The AM workout is a very gentle, mellow session that gets you ready for the day, and the PM is more of a wind down. Aside from what it does for the body, it's amazing for the mind (especially for those of us who have constantly spinning brains).
His poses aren't crazy hard, but they still get the job done. Plus, he's not too bad to look at :) AND! He's got a beautiful, relaxing voice. |
Finding Fawn,
I think I sent you meditation cds a few years ago? Did you ever get to try them? I'm sorry if I have the wrong person :) Sherry |
